Mischler named Hockey East Player of the Month

BOSTON, MA - Graig Mischler (Holbrook, NY/Canterbury Prep) has been named Hockey East Player of the Month for February. The announcement came on March 1 from the conference.

Mischler had an outstanding month, recording a point in all eight games and playing a part in 19 of NU's 29 goals in February. For the month, Mischler had four goals and 15 assists for 19 points. He had a four-game goal scoring streak, five multi-point games, four games with at least three points and two with four points. Mischler collected his 100th career point during a four-assist night in a win over Merrimack Feb. 17. On Feb. 19 he was named Hockey East and US College Hockey Online Player of the Week. Most recently, he assisted on three of NU's four goals in a 4-3 win over Boston University Feb. 24 at Walter Brown Arena.

Mischler leads Northeastern with an 8-31-39 line. He is tops in Hockey East and eighth in the nation in assists. His 39 points and 31 assists are the most at NU during the Bruce Crowder era and the most by a Husky since Jordon Shields had 43 points and 31 assists in the 1995-96 season. With one more assist, Mischler will have the most assists at NU since Mike Taylor had 46 during the 1993-94 campaign.
