Royals Activate Mischler and Kinasewich Returns from Manchester

Reading, PA – The Reading Royals, affiliate of the NHL’s Los Angeles Kings and AHL’s Manchester Monarchs, have announced that centerman Graig Mischler has been activated off IR and forward Ryan Kinasewich has been returned from the Manchester Monarchs. Both players are expected in the line-up this afternoon as Reading battles Atlantic City in Boardwalk Hall in New Jersey.

Graig Mischler returns to the Royals line-up after missing six games due to injury. The Holbrook, New York native sustained an injury on January 21st against the Trenton Titans. Currently, the fourth-year pro leads the Royals in assists (24) and power play assists (10). He ranks third on the team in scoring with 28 points behind Royals All-Stars Ryan Kinasewich (38) and Jeff Miles (33). The Northeastern graduate has an assist in four straight games (1g, 6a) and has registered a point or more in ten straight on the road (2g, 12a).

Rookie forward Ryan Kinasewich earned his first call-up to the American Hockey League this season on Monday, February 7. In two games with Manchester, the Alberta native chipped in an assist and was plus-1 with no penalty minutes. Kinasewich leads the Royals in scoring with 16 goals and 38 points. His five power-play goals and 12 power-play points also rank first on Reading’s squad this season. The 6-foot-2, 210-pound winger represented Reading in the 13th Annual ECHL All-Star Game on January 26th in Reading. He capped off the National Conference victory with an empty-net goal. Kinasewich also has a In Glas Co ECHL Player of the Week (Dec. 27 – Jan. 2) to his credit. He scored six goals and nine points in five games during that week.

Reading looks to break a two-game slide this weekend as they travel to Atlantic City this afternoon to battle the Bullies at 2:05 p.m. in Historic Boardwalk Hall. Reading returns home on Sunday to face Toledo at 5:05 p.m. Sunday’s are Comcast Family Four Pack Nights…Fans get four tickets, four hot dogs and four sodas for just $44.
