Royals diary

Another week
has gone by with lots of events that have taken place. Christmas is just around
the corner and we were a busy bunch this week.
The week
started off with a Booster Club Christmas party on Tuesday. I wasn’t able to
attend but the guys told me it was a good time. The Booster Club gave all the
players winter jackets with the Royals logo on the front. We would like to thank
the Booster Club for everything they have done this year and for the wonderful
jackets. I asked forward Nick Greenough what he thought of the generous gift.
"They are
great," he said. "I think I’m going to get my name and number on the sleeve,
though. Thanks for the jacket."
On
Wednesday we had to do a promotion out at Ozzie’s, a game place with arcades,
laser tag, roller rinks and much more. All the players had a good time with the
kids, and I’m sure the kids had a good time too. I asked forward Graig Mischler
what he thought of the promotion.
"For the
five minutes I was there it was awesome," he said with a smile. "I’m sure when I
left people were disappointed and things probably didn’t run as smoothly
afterwards."
Thursday
was the team Christmas party. First off I would like to thank the Classic Café
for providing an excellent meal. I think all the guys were happy to sit down as
a team with the staff and share a great meal and good conversation. I asked
forward Jeff Miles what he thought about the party.
"Well,
personally, I could care less about the meal, I just came to get my Christmas
bonus," he said jokingly. "Oh yeah and the clams were really mmm-mmm good."
Well, that
wraps up a wonderful week. Have a happy holiday. And remember, don’t drink and
drive. You booze, you lose.
