Cleveland 6, Rochester 2

ROCHESTER, New York (Ticker) -- Mike Craig recorded a hat trick and Vesa Toskala stopped 29 shots as the Cleveland Barons defeated the Rochester Americans, 6-2. Craig opened the scoring with a power-play goal 6:06 into the first period, netted his 19th marker of the season with 39 seconds remaining in the second and supplied Cleveland with a 5-1 lead 4:33 into the third. In his last six games, Craig has seven goals and 12 points. Toskala turned away 21 shots over the last two periods to win his fourth straight decision. Graig Mischler added a goal and an assist for the Barons, who have won four of their last five. Milan Bartovic and Mario Larocque both scored for Rochester, which finished 0-for-5 on the power play. Tom Askey gave up all six goals on 28 shots for the loss.
