Mischler Placed on Injured List…Dube Waived

Reading, PA – The Reading Royals, affiliate of the NHL’s Los Angeles Kings and AHL’s Manchester Monarchs, have announced that centerman Graig Mischler has been placed on the 7-day injured list due to a shoulder injury suffered on January 21 against the Trenton Titans. The Royals have also waived defenseman Jim Dube.

The Holbrook, New York native has missed last night’s game due to a shoulder injury suffered on January 21st against Trenton in the Royals 8-5 victory. Currently, Mischler leads the Royals with 24 assists and is third on the club in scoring with 28 points. His ten power play assists is #1 on the club and ten power play points are second on the team to ECHL All-Star Ryan Kinasewich. The Royals leading scorer in 2003-04 is expected to return next Friday, February 4 when the Royals battle Dayton on the road.

Dube, 28, recently celebrated his birthday on January 25. The 5-foot-11, 190-pound defenseman appeared in just two games with Reading this season and was held scoreless. The Ottawa, Ontario native was originally signed by Bakersfield and skated in two contests with the Condors registering a plus-1 plus/minus rating. Dube currently works and lives in the Reading area.

Reading meets Wheeling for the sixth time this season this evening in Wes Banco Arena. The Royals have posted a 2-1-0 record versus the Nailers in Wheeling and a 4-2-0 record overall this season.
