Photographs supplied by you are used as a reference. The detail is relative to the quality of photos supplied. I accept both traditional and digital copies of photos. Scanned or digital may be sent to my email address.
Additional reference photos are recommended. In particular close-ups of the subject's face and eyes.
Backgrounds will vary to best suit the overall look of the painting.
My portraits are created using Corel's Painter program. This fine art style does not use traditional oils but instead incorportates hand drawn lines and traditional painting techniques which are implimented on the computer using a stylus that responds much like a pencil or a paintbrush.
Unlike much of the digital art available today, these paintings are not created with the use of simple filters, but instead are created one stroke at a time with many hours of hand work going into each piece.
