ALL STAR BASEBALL DISCS
A-E & F-J STRATEGY & K-O FIELDING DISCS
are 4 discs that were included with the All Star Baseball Game. The A-E Strategy disc used for stealing, the hit and run and the squeeze play. The F-J Strategy disc used for stealing and the sacrifice bunt. This set also includes two K-O Fielding Dial discs used after the ball has been put in play. The K-O Fielding Dials are found on both sides of the game board under the spinners. ALL STAR BASEBALL STATS KEEPERS
are used to calculate your game statistics and replace the time consuming method of pen, paper and calculator. This is what we dreamed about during the tedious methods of compiling accumulated player stats and anxiously awaiting the crunched results. Instead of being informed as you figure, now you can glance at the stats and see them all at once in a clear concise organized format. Stats Keepers are separated into 8 teams for player stats and combined into one list for league leader stats. Not only will this sheet determine and display more statistics but it will do it in the time it takes to simply enter the stats. Stats Keepers produce updated totals and averages for players and teams and will provide you with more time to play the game.

PAST ALL STARS are created using lifetime stats and available through the years 1933-2011.
On April 28, 2010 the Associated Press New York printed an All Star Game article, here is an excerpt:
".....In addition, a designated hitter will be used in the all-star game every year, including in NL cities", said Rob Manfred,
baseball's executive vice-president of labor relations. The players' association already has approved the changes.

TOP ROOKIES sets feature 100 of the best young players from each season. Top Rookies are for fans that want the latest talented young players and their accomplishments on discs. A player is considered a Rookie unless he has exceeded 130 at bats or 50 innings pitched in the Majors in a single season. Many of the players in this set are Rookies while some have exceeded these qualification numbers during their first or second season. Due to the DH rule some pitchers represented in the Top Rookies may have had few or no at bats and can not provide any offense. Because of this we offer the option to purchase the Top Rookies without pitchers. Many of these young players have already established themselves as stars. Top Rookies are left in their original season ending format to preserve the early years. Top Rookies have equal defensive distribution so 4 teams can draft 25 players.
ELIAS TOP RATED sets feature all of the year's best players ranked by position based on their production in various offensive categories. These performance ratings make it possible to evaluate player production on a play by play basis. The power ratings created from these statistics are moving progressive averages kept in real time and change with each at bat or on the field achievement. Elias Top Rated are made with career stats and are kept in their original season ending format. Ranking consistently high in these ratings usually indicates a highly productive career. The Elias Top Rated sets continue to turn out a great combination of proven veterans and outstanding young players.
STARS sets feature 100 of the greatest players by position from each of the past 12 decades. All 12 Stars sets combined feature 1,200 completely different players. American League pitchers that have few or no career at bats can not appear in the Stars or Commons sets. We dedicate ourselves to provide our customers with precise career player discs for the accuracy and validity of your games. We did not sacrifice board game accuracy for player participation by modifying or fabricating any player's statistics to create discs. Choose a decade and up to four managers can collectively participate in a strategic draft of players with the conception of forming and managing their own competitive team. The draft is the most important and exciting part of the season full of intense anticipation hoping your selection is still available. The Stars sets are designed to have equal defensive position distribution so 4 teams can draft 25 players. If you want more comprehensive player sets combine the Stars with the Commons below. Play the game using our discs and your games will be just as you know or remember them to be.

COMMONS supplement the Stars sets with the next 100 greatest players by position from each of the past 12 decades. When combined the 12 Commons sets feature 1,200 completely different players. These players are not commons by the definition of the word. The Commons are a continuation of the Stars and these sets are loaded with great players. The Commons are made to be combined with the Stars and provide the balance and flexibility needed to bring out the best in Cadaco All Star Baseball. After creating the Stars sets so many great players were still available that belong in these otherwise incomplete player sets. The talent and popularity of the remaining players influenced the expansion and creation of the Commons sets. We did not alter any player's statistics to enhance or diminish performance because this would defeat the hours of concentration and dedication that it took to research and create these discs. Commons are designed to have equal defensive position distribution so 4 teams can draft 25 players. Combine the Stars and the Commons from the same decade and organize your All Star Baseball games into a league of 8 teams using two 4 team divisions where the pennant winners meet in the World Series.

PURE HITTERS combine the Stars and Commons without the pitchers and feature 16 hitters at each position. For more than a generation the two leagues have remained divided on the designated hitter even though this major difference in rules causes provisions and modifications to be made each time teams from the two leagues meet. Should there be a DH or should the pitcher bat? The Pure Hitters sets were created with the purpose of playing with the DH and include HITTERS ONLY the greatest of each decade and the greatest of all time.

AWARDS that have been achieved, conceived and disbelieved. Five years after retirement any player with 10 years of major league experience is eligible to be elected into Baseball's Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame is the most prestigious honor a player can have bestowed upon them.
Only 1% of the players that ever played have been elected into the Baseball Hall of Fame. The Future Hall of Fame set features both current and recently retired players with the best statistical chances. The Ten Years on the Ballot set are the players that have had continuous voting support from at least 5% but less than 75% of the sports writers for at least 10 years and is a great addition to the Hall of Fame set. The Rookie of the Year list continues to indicate a great set of players through the years. The Future Hall of Fame and Ten Years on the Ballot sets are updated dated in October and the Rookie of the Year set is updated in November. The Hall of Fame set is updated in January.

ALL TIME GREATS sets feature 100 of the greatest hitters from 1900 to the present. The All Time Greats will form intense teams that are as competitive as possible. Imagine Babe Ruth and Ty Cobb on the same team with Albert Pujols and Chipper Jones? Players in the All Time Greats sets are represented at the position where they started the most career games. Since the Greats of the late 1800's played while establishing rules during exploratory times we have separated these players into the sets below called the Old Time Greats. The All Time Greats are loaded with talent and are designed to have equal defensive position distribution so 4 teams can draft 25 players.

ALL 6 ALL TIME GREAT SETS - 600 different players - (600) $249.99

OLD TIME GREATS sets are the greatest players that played during the late 1800's. The Old Time Greats 1 are the best players from the National Association from 1871-1875 and in the beginning of the National League from 1876-1899. The Old Time Greats 2 are the best players from the American Association from 1882-1891 prior to the beginning of the American League in 1901. The beginning of baseball was an experimental phase where players used inferior equipment and played under unfavorable game conditions. There were many extreme rule modifications that drastically changed the game. One primary rule change was the pitcher's windup that progressed from underhand to sidearm to overhand. Another critical adjustment for the players was enforced when the pitchers mound was moved further back from home plate to a distance of 60 feet 6 inches. These revised rules caused time consuming adaptations and transitional periods that forced these players to change and adjust the way they originally learned and naturally progressed playing the game. These significant rule changes are some of the reasons we find it difficult to compare eras so we have separated the players from the developmental stages of the late 1800's from the 20th and 21st Century players. The Old Time Greats were interesting players from their facial expressions to the personal emphasis they placed on their individual styles of batting and throwing techniques. The excitement of this set comes from the amusing times and mysterious impressions left by these great players. The Old Time Greats are designed to have equal defensive position distribution so 4 teams can draft 25 players.

DEAD BALL ERA features a unique set of 100 of the best players from 1900-1919. The name Dead Ball came from the poorly designed and overused baseball used in spacious ball parks with deep dimensions that resulted in low scoring games. The condition of the overused unraveling baseball decreased power allowing pitchers to dominate hitters. Around 1910 a new cork center baseball was introduced that temporarily increased run scoring. Since the same dirty ball was used throughout the game and deliberately scuffed by the pitchers run scoring decreased and remained that way until 1919.
We believe that there were two important rule changes that defined and surrounded the Dead Ball Era. In 1901 foul balls were counted as a strikes allowing hitters fewer chances to put the ball in play. In 1920 the spitball was outlawed since it changed the weight and wind resistance of the ball. These two crucial rule changes were instituted in the beginning and the end of what we now know as Dead Ball Era.
The motivation for this disc set was the poor game conditions and extreme rule changes these players had to endure. The Dead Ball set is designed to have equal defensive position distribution so 4 teams can draft 25 players.

ALL TIME TEAMS are the teams created with players that played during different times for the same franchise. All Time Teams can help determine what might have been if outstanding players from different eras played together on the same team. All Time Teams condense each historical franchise into one great team. Below is a list of possible starting lineups for each team and if you at the team rosters you can see how deep these teams are. For competitive purposes among teams each player selected is represented on one All Time Team based on career games played. Most players are at their primary position though some may be at their secondary position to strengthen the team. If a player is not in the top two at his position on his primary team he may be represented on his secondary team. Due to poor game conditions and the experimental stages of baseball we have chosen post 1900 players for these sets. All Time Teams carry 9 pitchers and 2 hitters at each position based on an average MLB roster. All Time Teams feature the best with the exception of players that played the majority of their career with another team.

PURE PITCHERS introduces a new concept of pitchers discs that are created with pitching statistics. Pure Pitchers discs are created with the lifetime statistics that pitchers have allowed against the hitters they faced in their careers. Start any two opposing pitchers and spin their career pitching discs throughout an entire game. All at bat results for the game will be generated purely from the pitchers discs. If a starting pitcher is not effective in a particular outing you will have the option to replace him with a relief pitcher. Pure Pitchers use the reverse concept of the original All Star Baseball Game. Like the hitters discs that statistically include the pitching, Pure Pitchers discs statistically include the hitting. The Pure Pitchers are an accurate game concept played with only pitchers discs without the use of hitters discs.

BORN TO PLAY features the best players from birth to baseball that were born in the same country or state and went on to play MLB. Many of these players grew up and formed early associations playing together or against each other in school or independent leagues. Living in close locations with similar lifestyles forged early common bonds between players that naturally formed young interpersonal relationships. What is it about these countries and states that continue to contribute so many great players with such natural abilities? Which of these territories produced the most instinctive players? Which of these places provided the most talented players? Born to Play has equal defensive position distribution so 4 teams can draft 25 players.

PITCHER VS. HITTERS are a new and precise way to play All Star Baseball that will produce realistic pitching performances. Pitcher vs. Hitters sets are individual match ups that give the best possible chance of probable occurrences between two players. This statistical breakdown is the ultimate in accuracy compiling career stats that occurred specifically between the pitcher and the hitter. We have chosen some of the best pitchers for these sets and although these pitchers had the ability to dominate most hitters the interesting part was the specific hitters that dominated each pitcher. You manage the hitters these pitchers faced most in their career in an attempt to defeat the pitcher and his all time team.

DEFUNCT LEAGUES all attempted to become the next major league in baseball. These leagues found it hard to compete with the NL for business since the NL was already a successfully established league. During adverse conditions teams from these leagues began to switch over to the NL since the NL offered a better chance of survival. These business decisions strengthened the NL and weakened the now defunct leagues that eventually led to a loss of attendance and revenue. These leagues endured hard times and struggled to survive although the players were as talented as any leagues in existence.
