Evictions, gang warfare, financial problems, muggings, rent parties and discrimination were frequent themes of Good Times.
The Evans families way of dealing with these conditions was a shocking example of poverty for those that could not relate.
The show was portrayed with such excellence that if you had to any compassion for this family you could feel their pain.
The kids were deep and talented and their struggles gave reason for the classic humor used as a much needed release.
