Ministry, Counseling, & Hospital Experience
Doctor Mike graduated, with distinction, from Bethany Theological Seminary (Chicago, IL) in 1987, where he completed his Masters Of Divinity (MDIV) degree. Doctor Mike especially enjoyed the studies of Biblical Greek, Aramaic, and Hebrew, and was able to serve as a Spiritual Director.
While in Chicago, completed his counseling internships as a Chaplain at Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove, Illinois, and at MacNeal Memorial Hospital in Berwyn, Illinois.
From 1987 to 1989, Doctor Mike served as an associate pastor at a Church Of The Brethren in central Ohio. From 1990 to date, he has served in many churches in various ministry capacities such as: Bible Study Facilitator, Sunday School Teacher, and Worship Leader. Doctor Mike is currently a member of Tylersville Road Christian (Disciples of Christ) Church, Mason, Ohio.
Medical Training
Doctor Mike graduated from The Ohio State University in 1978, where he completed his Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree. In 1992, he became board certified to treat eye diseases. In 1997, Doctor Mike was certified to conduct both pre- and post-Laser Vision Correction examinations and consultations.
He currently works as an eye doctor in the offices next to Lencrafters in Beavercreek (Dayton), Ohio.
Legal & Medical Publishing Experience
Doctor Mike graduated, with honors, from Capital University Law School (Columbus, OH) in 1997, where he received his Juris Doctor (JD) degree. He is a member of the "Order Of The Curia", a nationwide honorary legal fraternity. Doctor Mike has also written legal articles for national medical journals.
Family Life
Doctor Mike's wife, Annie (his "Soul Mate"), is currently a student at Xavier University (Cincinnati) majoring in Psychology. She is also a "Group Counselor" for our local "Battered Womens' Shelter", and is active on various Church Committees.
Doctor Mike & Annie have been blessed by God to have 6 healthy children: Rebekah, Sarah, Erica, Victoria, Christopher, and Timothy.
