The haydenville Tunnel was built over 100 years ago and hasnt been used since the 1950's, This Tunnel was built so that clay could be tranported more easier from the clay mines a few miles away to the Natco brick factory in Haydenville, Mine carts use to pass through this Tunnel and then use to pass over US 33 and then to the clay mines, In 1994 the old over pass that the mine carts use to cross over US 33 was taken down when they put a 4 lane through.
This Tunnel has to be one of the most spookist looking tunnels you will ever see, because the tunnel is right beside haydenville cemetery and also rumor has it that a few workers were killed when making the tunnel. Rumor has it that if you go in at night that you will see ghosts of the dead workers and ghosts of the people in the cemetery.
Behind those trees is where the tunnel is located at
A cool looking tombstone in the cemetery
A brick wall right before you enter the tunnel
The beginning of the tunnel
The front of the tunnel
Inside the tunnel, as you can see the tunnel is getting in bad shape
This part of the tunnel isnt safe because the bricks is coming loose
Inside the tunnel looking out
A pic from deep inside the tunnel
Some old railroad ties on the floor
Some weird looking stuff on the walls
Another pic from deep inside the tunnel
Here is a weird pic, it looks like green eyes on the tunnel wall, I never seen anything while I was down there but when I got back and looked at the pics I seen what looked like eyes.
see where my flashlight is at on the wall, now look above that and you will see what looks like eyes.
At the back of the tunnel where it caved in
A big thanks goes to Mike for getting me some better pics
