HANDS ACROSS THE CAMPUS is a national program that was founded by the American Jewish Committee. This program attempts to eliminate bigotry, prejudice, and intolerance in every community. Through this program, everyone is encouraged to tap into their own unique ethnic background through discussions, forums, and days of learning in order to appreciate every person’s race, morals, background, etc..

HANDS ACROSS THE CAMPUS has been a part of the Ursuline Academy of Blue Ash community since 1995. We have been raising awareness on gay/lesbian/bisexual rights, prejudice and the exploitation of women, discussing the epidemic of AIDS, as well as many more important issues. We have been reaching our high school community through a variety of methods including forums, discussions, guest speakers, days of learning, and morning announcements over the P.A..
We are extremely interested in learning how other groups, organizations, and schools deal with the issues of prejudice and educating the public about these pertinent issues, so please send any ideas, topics to discuss, or different ways of implementing these programs.

The mission statement of HANDS ACROSS THE CAMPUS is as follows:

HANDS ACROSS THE CAMPUS is a national organization sponsored by the American Jewish Committee. The purpose of the organization is:
*to promote the understanding and appreciation of all types of diversity.
*to teach methods for interruption prejudice and understanding conflict resolution
