Tuesday, September 11, 2001 will forever be a day remembered for its
turmoil, destruction, devastation and sadness. Our United States were
violated by the evil acts of terrorism, described by most, as the worst
acts of violence against this great nation in America's history.
The violent, unprecedented attacks on our World Trade Center in
Manhattan and the Pentagon building in Washington, took the lives of literally
thousands of our innocent American men, women and children. Let us not forget the lives lost in the Pennsylvania crash of United Flight 93. It was this hijacked flight that was believed to be headed for our White House, and by whatever heroic actions taken by pilots or passengers, was diverted.
We mourn for each precious life lost. We grieve for family and friends
so deeply affected by this terrible tragedy. We pray for rescue
workers who risk their lives every hour of every day to find our loved ones
in the twisted rubble. We pray for our country's leaders, those on whom the
entire country depends for guidance and reassurance.

We are a strong nation. Though this is a time of pain and desperation,
we come together as one to help our fellow man. As we have done many times in the past, we will recover from this act of violence. We will
pick ourselves up and dust ourselves off, only to become a stronger,
more determined nation to fight for our beliefs and our freedom. We will
maintain our pride in the fact that we are a peaceful nation, and at
the same time, remain the most powerful country on this earth.
Weep openly. Talk to your children. Pray. Do whatever you feel, in as
much time as needed, to come to terms with this tragic event. Most
importantly, we must be here for each other. This is a time for unity in
our great country. Give of yourself in any way possible so others will
benefit from your contribution.
Stand tall and take pride in the fact that you are an American. You
are the definition of peace, strength, opportunity and love.
God bless us all at this trying time. May He comfort the grieving and
guide our leaders to make careful and wise decisions so to avoid an
event such as this to be documented in our history books again.
God bless you. God bless America.
