Tuesday, September 11, 2001 will forever be a day remembered for its turmoil, destruction, devastation and sadness. Our United States were violated by the evil acts of terrorism, described by most, as the worst acts of violence against this great nation in America's history.

The violent, unprecedented attacks on our World Trade Center in Manhattan and the Pentagon building in Washington, took the lives of literally thousands of our innocent American men, women and children. Let us not forget the lives lost in the Pennsylvania crash of United Flight 93. It was this hijacked flight that was believed to be headed for our White House, and by whatever heroic actions taken by pilots or passengers, was diverted.

We mourn for each precious life lost. We grieve for family and friends so deeply affected by this terrible tragedy. We pray for rescue workers who risk their lives every hour of every day to find our loved ones in the twisted rubble. We pray for our country's leaders, those on whom the entire country depends for guidance and reassurance.
