      Dear Visitor,

First of all, thank you for your interest in this page. It is primarily for the use of all who were employed at the plant and company, founded by Saul Gilford. From 1958 to 2000, the facility had a varied history. Although there were several mergers and corporate identity changes, without the efforts of Saul Gilford, none of us would have been afforded the opportunity to work and grow there. It is for that reason that this site is so named.

This is to be an interactive site. One in which we may learn more about Saul and the subsequent history of the company he founded and the people who were employed there. Further, it will outline what was accomplished in the 42 year history of the plant. All of the official information has been well documented and was presented by Lyle Staab to Oberlin College for inclusion in the community archive. What could not be properly archived however, are the personal stories……the experiences of all who worked there.

In order to make this site worthwhile, I would encourage the input from as many people as possible. I would like to see this as platform in which people may share memories, present employment opportunities, as well as being a very interactive archive of plant history. This would include many photographs, personal accounts and maybe even some audio.

If you wish to contribute to this effort, please send messages to the email address below. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated. Please pass the word!
