LATEST REPORT: Myself, and a couple buddies went down to the Ohio River. While we were down there I ran into another one ob my buddies and his girlfriend which made for a good time. I caught my first ever Buffalo using the double white split-tail rig. I also caught a Sheephead and a Longnose Gar using the same method. My biggest fish of the night turned out to be a 25 inch Flathead Catfish that weighed in at 7 pounds. The flathead was caught on cut gizzard shad and was my first flathead catch of the year. This flathead had a big gash/flesh wound in its back. The fishing was very slow and the bites were few and far between. My one buddy caught a little flathead and a small channel catfish that both weighed in at less then 2 pounds. He did manage to catch a decent flathead that measured 31 inches and weighed 12.5 pounds. The flatheads came on cut gizzard shad and the channel catfish hit a minnow. My other buddy caught 3 Flatheads on cut shad weighing, 2, 2.5, and 6 pounds. He also managed to catch a few Longnose Gar using the double white split-tail rig. My other buddy and his friend that we met up with were both skunked. Even though the fishing was slow, the weather was great, and it was awesome just being out on the river. ~06/25/05
