Firestone Metro Park was once a wooded park. In the 1950s, a dam was built on the Tuscarawas River, turning the park into a wonderful wetland, making it a great place for birds to stop. Along WIllow Trail are some of the greatest places to birdwatch. This 1.6 mile trail is easy to hike. Firestone Metro Park is located in south Akron.
