Ramps
All the below is rated on my opinion of the hardest things at the Coffman Skate Park. You may totally disagree.
Yellow - easier/Red - harder
Quarter Pipe 1 This quarter pipe is not well made at all, even though the intent was to make a quarter pipe, it actually plays the role as a launch ramp for The Wall. The coping looks like someone sat on it, and it is really hard to for aggressive skaters to grind. Located in the beginner's course on the far left side of the park.
The Wall The wall is a tall cement and stone structure that lies on the deck of Quarter Pipe 1. Usually used to stall or launch over, the wall is a fun and dangerous part of the park.
6 Stair Flight The 6 Stair Flight is very difficult to complete off of a jump due to the drop and length that is extends. Very nicely crafted, yet very large. Located on the left side of the park, in between Sloped Banks 1 and 2.
Sloped Bank 1 This bank is the main source of speed to Quarter Pipe 1. Wider than Sloped Bank 2, this incline is where most people will start, though almost identical to Sloped Bank 2.
Sloped Bank 2 Similar to Sloped Bank 1 in many attributes, this tilted plain is also a speed source. The difference is, the Sloped Rail lies on its downward path.
Sloped Rail This galvanized pipe is tall and awkwardly sloped. If you are short like me (5' 3") or just don't have a very tall jump, grinding this rail is almost impossible. Located on Sloped Bank 2.
Clover Bowl This clover-shaped bowl is the most valuable possession of the Park in my opinion. Located in the back-left side of the park, this bowl makes the perfect impression of Dublin pride. Smooth cement covers all transition parts, making this bowl flawless.
Short Box This low box is made for beginners or intermediate level skaters. So low to the ground that everyone should be able to grind its smooth angle ironed sides. Located to the left of Tall Box, on the left - middle side of the park.
Tall Box Leveled out on a higher surface, this box is plain nasty. You have to have a very tall jump like for the Sloped Rail, and even if you get a plate onto it, you will have almost no room to land. Located to the right of the Short Box.
Pyramid This is a fun addition to the park that a lot of the boarders try to flip trick on. You wont find many aggressive skaters doing this because there is really no point. Located in the middle of the park, on the top platform across from the Clover Bowl.
Curved Rail This galvanized pipe is curved to the right making it a harder grind for beginners. Working good for inliners, this is one of the main areas where aggressive skaters hang around. Located by Sloped Bank 3, and almost connecting to Quarter Pipe 2.
Quarter Pipe 2 Nicely designed and perfectly made, this quarter pipe provides a rebound back to the beginning of the rail or back behind the Big Quarter Pipe, into the other area. Located by the Tall Box and Short Box, or by Sloped Bank 3.
loped Bank 3 Main speed source for Curved Rail, though the bottom of the bank does not smoothly transition with the flat cement below. Located by the Curved Rail, Pyramid, Short Box, and Tall Box.
Transition Bowl This bowl is nicely made and fun to ride around in. Located in the front right part of the park, this bowl might be responsible for so many peoples attentions.
The Half Pipe Made from one tall quarter pipe and one smaller quarter pipe, this half pipe is perfect for stalls, grinds, etc. Both of these quarter pipes were constructed fairly nicely and don't have any distinguishable odd spots in them. Located right in front of the opening to the skate park.
Big Quarter Pipe This huge sculptured quarter pipe is too large for its own good. First off, there's a large ridge that cuts across the top of the ramp, showing about two and a half feet of straight up vert. Many kids have crashed from this while attempting to drop in.
Kinked Box This box is challenging yet not impossible. I have fallen many times while attempting to grind this box because again of its height. But still it grinds smooth and as long as you lock on, you can complete the grind. Located on the far right side of park.
