Minutes before John had to leave to Encinitas to meet for the
IMYTA San Diego I was able to get a few words for him on the Salomon video
premier "Burning Bridges" and also some thoughts about the rollin'
industry, and how it is moving along.
JB-So how was the Burning Bridges video?
JJ-I thought the video was pretty good. The skating was really
progressive and the editing was really good also. I liked it a lot.
JB-That’s cool, so after participating in this years ASR Tradeshow
how do you feel roller blading is going?
JJ-I think it is really growing. There is a lot better turn out since
last year. Its good to see all the new skates come out and thee are like so
many kids from every where, like at the daily bread premier I saw so many kids
from all over the world , kids from like South America , I saw kids from
Japan, Germany, Sweden.
JB-Do you like the way all this UFS stuff is finally coming together? I
think its great, I am sort of disappointed with Roces and K2, they are kind of
falling behind, but uh I think its growing, it has really come a long way I'm
glad to see it finally happen, I'm glad to see all the frames come out, and
come together.
JB-So are there any big plans with the companies you are involved with?
JJ-We've got the Paradigm video which is involved with 7XL, Dyna wheels
and Runners Project, and that will be out next month and we've got new shirt
graphics for all of them. For 7XL the frames are finally coming together, and
we have a new bag coming out for Dyna which is looking good, so yeah I think
we are really starting to evolve.
