Building Errors
|
Here are a few pictures that show some of the major building mess-ups at
the Dublin Skate Park. You will see that the engineers had no clue what
they were doing, so they sort of screwed everything up! In the picture
below you see the massive 15-footer in the background. On this quarter
pipe, a long and narrow ridge dips straight in on the top transition.
Another error has to do with a horribly crafted quarter pipe that is actually constructed as a launch ramp that has coping? I took a few minutes to draw up a picture of how it looks, using the paint program. 1) The coping they used on the quarter pipe was less than 1" in diameter, so it was way to small to grind. 2) Also, the cement that holds the pipe, is out of proportion and is more heavy on the right side instead of the left. 3) The coping is pressed into the cement more in the middle, making it look like some fat guy sat on the middle part for days. 4) The transition is cut more diagonal than vertical, turning it into more like a kicker or a launch ramp. **MORE BEING ADDED SOON** |
