Upcoming Events at TNT: New Horse Owner/Rider Seminars - Friday Evenings at 7:00pm - $2 at the door, refreshments provided! Sept. 4th - How knowledgable use of the rider's core is the prerequisite for confidence, comfort, and success in the saddle. Open to all levels of riders, even those who have never ridden. We will discuss the correct positioning of the spine in the Classical Seat and why the phrase "Just relax" rarely improves any female rider. Participants will see demonstrations of correct and incorrect use of the core muscles at all gaits and their effects on the horse. A question and answer session will follow. If you are struggling with confidence in the saddle, getting your horse to respond correctly and promptly to your aids, improving your horse's carriage, or just want to increase the depth of your equestrian awareness - please join us! For questions, please call 330-461-2318. October: Proper Positioning of the Leg and it's Role in Producing a Secure, Independent, Inviting Seat. Why the positioning of the leg should never be allowed to compromise the correct usage of the seat and how it often does if the rider is not trained progressively and with an eagle eye towards the inner workings of their body. Discussion of the often grossly underestimated amount of muscle strength required to maintain proper leg position in the flat seat. The ability of the leg to leverage the seat into a deeper, more stable position (when used correctly) and the contrast of the tight pinching leg (knee) which only serves to push the rider out of the saddle. |

More congratulations, this time to Logan, Jackie, and Mike on their adoption of Jimmy Pony! Jimmy couldn't ask for a more loving family!
Merry Christmas to Emily K.! Santa was very good to her and she finally got the pony she's been asking for! It was tough fitting Tawny in that stocking but somehow he managed. But Tawny got the best gift in the form of his very own girl!
Congratulations are in order! Julianne and her daughter Hannah have ended their search for the perfect horse after finding Duncan! Duncan is a handsome red roan draft cross. He stands about 16hh and is big and sturdy. Duncan has been a lesson horse and done some jumping in his past. Make sure you stop by his stall and say hi!
Have you seen a beautiful new face around the barn? It might be Tango - an Andalusian mare being leased by TNT student Marie Shamburger! Marie has been a TNT student for about a year and was given the once in a lifetime opportunity to lease this mare while she was having a break from being a mom (Tango, not Marie!). If you ever wondered about those Spanish horses, stop by to chat with Marie about her new love! Contact Shannon Edgar (330) 461 - 2318
