Group Lesson Rules and Information
Class Levels and Rider Ratings
Riders who have never ridden before or less than 5 times should sign up as a Beginner I. At the end of each session, TNT will hold a Horse Show for friends and family to see the progress of each student. At that time, the student, along with the rest of their class, will be rated. Each level has a list of requirements (which will be posted shortly) that a student must be able to perform to move on to the next level. There is no “expected” amount of time in which each student must move up a level. Each class will focus on this list of objectives for the duration of the session. However, not all students will complete all of the objectives within the session as each rider learns in an individual manner. Classes are designed to accommodate riders of two successive levels, ie Beg. I-II.
New students who have prior riding experience may be required to come for an evaluation lesson to determine the best class fit. An evaluation is 30 mins in length and the cost is $20.
Group size will be 3-5 riders, optimally 4.
Riders must be at least 8 years of age to join a group lesson. Younger riders may begin in private lessons.
Group Lesson Rules
1) One make up lesson per series is allowed (unless cancellation is made by the instructor), if lessons are cancelled 24 hours in advance. No - shows will not be refunded. The make up lesson will be in the form of a 30 min. private lesson and must take place before the end of the session.
2) Riders are expected to arrive 30 mins in advance of their lesson to groom and tack their horse. Riders can expect to spend 30 mins after the lesson untacking, grooming, and putting away their horse.
3) Riders must wear long pants and tennis shoes or boots to lesson. They must wear an ASTM approved helmet.
