The Stallions have made the playoffs in each of their first three seasons. The Tribe finished 2nd in the Eastern Division in their first two campaigns. The Tribe were looked at as one of the favorites entering the post season in 2001 only to be bounced from the playoffs by the Gary Pirates. The Indians have a playoff record of 2-5 and have not been able to get by the semifinals in each of their three tries. Iowa got off to a sluggish 2-4 start in 2002 but finished strong to win the Southeastern Conference.

BBL CHAMPIONS OF 2004

The Steel Street Stallions became the fifth franchise in BBL history to win the championship with their three game to one victory over the Highland Yankees. After all of those late season collapses, the Stallions were crowned champions after a marvelous season which saw Steel Street set the record for most wins in a year with 29. The Stallions are the favorites entering the 2004 season to repeat.

The Champs Are Back... The Steel Street Stallions made their 2004 debut and showed no signs of having a let down after winning it all in 2003. They are still the team to beat after posting four wins on Saturday. They defeated the Extreme twice and followed that up with two wins over the Pirates. They won the four games by a combined score of 53-23. Matt Klink made his return to the Stallions after being the team's pitcher when they were known as the Iowa Indians. Also, Mike Graziano made his debut with the team and makes that lineup that much deeper. If they were not stacked enough last year the edition of Graz makes them that much more so. If you try and pitch around Foutz or Pugel, the rest of the lineup will make you pay. On a down note for the Stallions, in the last game of the day on Saturday a streak was broken. Joe Tammaro's all-time league best hitting streak came to an end after he got a hit in 67 straight games. He was 0 for 3 against the Pirates, but did reach base once on error.
