A Day in the Life

This is what an "average day" would be like, although such a thing rarely exists. 7:30 the lights go on as does our fantastic morning show comes on, that's a fact Jack, so Wakey, wakey. At 7:45 there generally is a music staff meeting although to most of us that meant zilch. 8 they start serving breakfast in the fantastic Rhodes Cafeteria. At 8:50 inspection, you better be at your bunk in uniform. Every other day, the trunks need to be on the bottom bunks and the floor swept, if not it just gets GROSS!!! 9 SA/TB rehearsal in the tents, have your music and water bottle (Drink water). 10:50 line up on the Rhodes lawn. 11 various concerts usuallly we are on the Rhodes Lawn (home sweet home). 12 Lunch, in the marvelous Rhodes Cafteria, yum yum git sum, potatoes. 1:10 line up for ODNR my FAVORITE concert. It is sooooooo pretty. People in the front row get to put their feet in the water and kick it at the end of the "Battle Hymn" while the flag comes down over the people on the risers. 2:45 line up for 3 concert. Showplace Stage. 4 line up for the 4:15 parade. 4:45 dinner, spam and potatoes in the wonderful Rhodes Cafeteria. 5:45 line up for the 6 Coliseum Show. Definately NOT my favorite. We run on where the horses perform watch for the piles, singing two songs, then in "Battle Hymn" we form Ohio and the United States, I guess it looked really cool. 6:50 line up for 7 Heritage Park. Another awesome concert. It is longer a good opportunity to premiere songs, interview four year members, listen to the CIT songs, and other fun stuff. At 9:20 there was an optional devotions. I went every night. It was one of the best things about the fair. 10 in dorms, 10:30 lights out. Tired yet? At 7:30 the lights come on in the dorm as does the morning show...
