Ladies and the Civil WarLadies of the Civil War went through as many hardships as the soldiers. Not only did they tend to their daily routine, they were forced into handling the farms, plantations, or stores as the new position of "Head of Household."Even though the work was strenuous, the woman found time for a social life. There were teas, parties, balls, and quilting bees, just to give an idea of their "fun time." As reenactors, the Ladies are in attendance to show the hardships the Women of the Civil War went through. We portray cooks, teachers, politician's wives, seamstresses, mothers, socialites, famous women and YES, even soldiers. During our stay in the time period, the ladies show these aspects to help educate the spectators. We invite you to come to the camps to visit us in our "Home Environment."
