There are TWO install packages for Quick Mixer, both are EXACTLY the same program! This is to appeal to both novice and expert computer users. The LITE package is a considerably quicker download. QMixer.zip is the full install/un-install version. QMixerLITE.zip has no install-program and does not include comctl32.ocx. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you download QMixer.zip, here is how you install: 1. If you already have a previous version of Quick Mixer installed on your computer, make sure it is NOT running. It is even better if you un-install Quick Mixer before installing a new version. This is because, if Mixer.exe exists, the installation program will tell you how horrible replacing it might be -- which is just silly! You'll get no fewer than TWO messages like this, just ignore them and continue on through the installion... 2. Create a new, empty folder. You can do this on the desk-top by right-clicking the desk-top and selecting NEW and then FOLDER. 3. Un-zip QMixer.zip into the new, empty folder. 4. Double-click SETUP.EXE 5. You will be prompted through the installation. When done, you'll find an icon for Quick Mixer at the bottom of your START, PROGRAMS menu. When the installation is complete, you can delete the folder you un-ziped the setup program into -- just drag it to the Recycle Bin. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you download QMixerLITE.zip, here is how you install: 1. Just un-zip QmixerLITE.zip wherever you wish to install Quick Mixer. That was easy! If you get an error which mentions COMCTL32.OCX, you'll need to download that file. There is a link to an installation program for it on the Quick Mixer homepage just above the link you just clicked that got you this page. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Un-Installing Quick Mixer: If you installed using the full-install version, you should un-install Quick Mixer from the Control Panel... 1. Click START, SETTINGS, CONTROL PANEL 2. Double-click the ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS icon. 3. Move down the list 'til you find "QMixer" and click the entry to highlight it. 4. Click the ADD/REMOVE button. 5. You will be prompted through un-installation. Lastly, don't forget to delete QMixer.ini in the C: root. (C:\QMIXER.INI)
