Don’t
Bet on it!
‘But
when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done
away.’ - [1st Corinthians 13:10]
Some
people declare that Paul is saying that the Spiritual gifts that Jesus has
dispensed by the Holy Ghost have ended. Those who say so do not understand what
they are reading. The thrust of what Paul was speaking here about having complete
understanding of all things pertaining to God and how that now, we
comprehend in part and prophesy in part, meaning that further understanding is
given by Revelation of the Spirit. Two verses later Paul sums up the thrust of
the thought when he says, “For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then
face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am
known.” - [1st Corinthians 13:12] You see, when Jesus comes, we
shall be like him and have complete understanding without our earthly wisdom
interfering.
Certainly Paul could not
have possibly been saying that when the Gift of the Holy Spirit was given that all these
manifestations of the Spirit would end since it is by the Holy Spirit that
these gifts are exist. Further, since Jesus has not yet returned in person to
establish his Kingdom on earth [although its not far off] we know that the, “that
which is perfect” that Paul speaks of has not yet come.
Some groups will suggest,
that the gifts were just for the early church…Liar! “For
I am the LORD, I change not!” –[Malachi 3:6] If it was God’s will to
heal then, it is also his will to heal now. The gifts and calling of God are
without repentance. We are in as much need today as the early church was then, if not more
so. The Holy Ghost and the dispensation of the Gifts of the Spirit
are for God's people today.
By
the gifts your faith will grow.
Those
who say, Not for Today, also say those who are manifesting the gift, are doing
so by the devil…tell me they’re not confused, they should be on their knees
pleading for mercy instead of searching for excuses as to why they are not
functioning in the gifts. They are darn near blasphemy of the Holy Ghost, which
is the only sin the blood of Christ cannot cleanse.
Firstly,
it is the Jesus Christ whom by his Holy Spirit manifests the gifts; it is not a
work of the flesh; you cannot turn it on nor can you turn it off.
Paul
says, I wish you all spoke with tongues; Tongues can be a heavenly angel language
and also different human languages not familiar to the person speaking it, just as it was
with the Apostles on the day of Pentecost [Acts 2:1-11]. Yet you do not need to be a
tongue-talker to be saved. YET do not shy away from things just because you
don't understand them. Remember we only understand in part and God does the rest by
revelation.
As
far as healing and miracles are concerned, Jesus manifests all these as well. The Lord
said, these signs shall follow them that believe, they will lay hands on the
sick and the sick will recover. Jesus is speaking of the physically and the spiritually sick!
I say, Some of God’s lambs have been stricken by the devil with his
lying message, I say they have had their Joy Robbed. The body of Christ has
become sick, diseased and defeated because of a lie. Don’t listen to it; get away from it! It’s a Cancer. When you
live in the truth you can live in the power, you can live in the Joy, you can
live in the Liberty that Jesus bought for you on Calvary! God can only bless a
people who are free Hallelujah! Jesus wants you to be free.
The
days of Healing are over? Don’t
