Benefits

Psalms 103:2 Bless the Lord, 0 my soul: And forget not all his benefits.

Question:
Do you have to wait till you get to heaven to enjoy the blessings of God? If not what are those blessings?

Many Christians live below their privileges in the Lord. Some believe they must live their lives in poverty, sickness and disease. They believe that the more they suffer, the more trouble they have, that this is Gods will for their life. They don't believe in "Benefits".

In Psalms 27:13 David says
I had fainted unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living" You don't have to wait till you die, to enjoy Gods goodness.
God wants to bless you; he wants to heal you. It is his will.

In Psalms 103: 3-5 David says
"Who forgives all your iniquities;
who heals all your diseases;
who redeems your life from destruction;
who crowns you with loving kindness and tender mercies."

In Matthew 6:33 Jesus says
" Seek you first the kingdom of God and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added to you"
What things?
Everything you have need of in this life, whether that be a college education or help paying your electric bill, God wants to give it to you.
Not only that, but God says he wants to give to you in "good measure", meaning abundance.
Some still think God wants to punish them. They think he's just waiting for them to slip up, so he can slam a fiery fist of judgment on them.
If you think that then you need to climb up a little higher and get to know your savior better.

Sickness, Disease and Poverty do not come from God.

In Acts 10:38 Peter says
"How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil."

In the "Garden of Eden" there was no sickness, no disease and no poverty.
Adam walked with God in a personal interactive relationship; speaking to and hearing Gods voice.
But, then the devil came around and said to Eve in Genesis 3; 4-5
"You shall not surely die:
for God does know that in the day you eat of it then your eyes shall be opened and you shall be as gods."
The devil lied to them then and he lies to you today. Did you know that Jesus redeemed you from the "Curse of the Law"?

In John 10:10 Jesus says
"I am come that they might have life; and have it more abundantly"
Jesus is saying, "I've come to give you life everlasting and to remove the "Curse of the Law" from your life.
In fact as a Christian, this is already done for you.

Paul in Romans 8:4 says
"That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
When you received Jesus as your Lord and Savior, the Righteousness of the "Law of Moses" is accounted to your life as a free gift.
When Paul speaks of "Not walking after the flesh" he is saying "those who recognize, that in themselves, they could never earn by their deeds, Gods favor.
It is a gift, Jesus is your righteousness.
Let's look at the "Curse of the Law" and see what Jesus freed us from.

In Deuteronomy 28:15-17 it says
"But it shall come to pass, if thou will not hearken unto the voice of the Lord God to observe and do all his commandments and his statutes; which I command you this day; that all these "Curses" shall come upon thee.
Cursed shall you be in the city and in the field.
Cursed shall be your basket and your store. (Cursing, in the labors to earn a living and have enough to provide for your family.)
No matter how large the income people seem to have, many can't seem to make ends meet. There is a hole in the basket. No matter how large the bank account, there is something always biting away at it.
Deuteronomy 28:18
"Cursed shall be the fruit of thy body" Your children.
Look at all the trouble children of all ages have. Many families suffer from crime, drugs and divorce.
Deuteronomy 28:21
"The Lord shall make (allow) pestilence to cleave unto thee until he consumed thee off the land.
Sickness and Disease are a part of the curse. (I must say this now. God does not put these things on anyone, but rather it is a product of sin entering the world and the devil oppressing sinful man.)

Jesus says, in Matthew 5:45
He makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good and sends his rain on the just and the unjust. If cursing came from God, why would he bless the unjust?

See some of the great "Benefits" that are yours in Jesus Christ?
Some think Jesus came just to save you from hell.
These "Benefits" are a spiritual bank account that you need to know about.
It's like being an heir to a vast estate and not knowing it.
When you find out, you better start drawing on it. Jesus says,
"Don't worry, the account will never run dry."

Why then are so many struggling in the Lord?

Many think they're "Carrying their Cross"
"Suffering for Jesus," thinking that in the situation that they're enduring, that God is pleased.
They have no joy, no peace.

They look like they lost their best friend; trying to please the Lord by their good works!
They are living in religion instead of salvation.
Jesus is the good shepherd, gently leading his sheep to good water. Not driving them hard or beating them with his staff.
Jesus says, in Matthew 11:29-30
"Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and you shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

When someone gets saved, the Holy Spirit of God begins to teach you.
In your spirit you know truths without even reading them!
You immediately know and experience the great love of Jesus.
Yet still the devil comes around with his lies to try and put yokes of bondage on you. Sometimes, he uses religion to deceive.
Even a "letter of the word" twisting of the scripture. That's why you have been given the Holy Spirit; to illuminate your understanding.
Jesus says in John 10:10
"The thief comes to steal, kill and destroy. If the devil can keep you dumb, he will keep you defeated.
Arm yourself with the "Sword of the Spirit, the Helmet of Salvation; and the Shield of Faith" to quench the fiery darts of the devil.

In Isaiah 61:1 it says,
"'The Spirit of the Lord is upon me: because the Lord has anointed me to preach "good tiding" (good news) unto the meek;
he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted to proclaim liberty to the captives and the opening of the prisons to them that are bound.

Isaiah 61: 3
"to appoint onto them that mourn in Zion, to give onto them beauty for ashes; the oil of joy for mourning, the garments of praise, for the spirit of heaviness, that they might be called trees of righteousness; the planting of the Lord"
When God plants you, he plants "Joy and Peace" When God plants you; he takes your "filthy self righteous garments" and gives you "Linen white as snow" God plants you in his kingdom.
He will watch over you and nurture you, fear not.
Jesus wants to fix your hurts. He has already delivered you and only has good news to tell you.
Accept what God wants you to have. To prosper and be in health is Gods will for your life.

You as a child of God, have authority' in his kingdom. Jesus gives you this authority. The church as a whole doesn't operate in this blessing. The devil has tried to keep the children of God ignorant.

Jesus said in Luke 10:19
"Behold I give you power (authority) to tread upon serpents and scorpions; and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means, hurt you.
In the next verse, Jesus said
"Not withstanding in this rejoice not,
that the spirits are subject to you"
Also in Mark 16;:17 Jesus says
"And these signs shall follow them that believe: in my name shall they cast out devils, they shall speak with new tongues. They shall take up serpents and scorpions and if they drink any deadly thing it shall not hurt them; they' shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

Now if that's not authority, I don't know what is.
Notice it says the "believer" not the "apostles"
Jesus says the spirits are subject to you. So why lay down to the devil and be his doormat? He should be the "dirt" under your shoe!
Use what God has given you. Start casting him out.
Out of your household,
out of your finances.
Cancer and Diabetes have to go in Jesus' name!

All of the 'Body of Christ" should know that God doesn't put sickness on people.
It's not your "cross to bear", nor is poverty.
This is the "New Wine" Jesus speaks of in Matthew 9:17.
Being born of the Spirit of God is the new bottle spoken of in the same verse.

Now this is how you enter into the promises of God.
In Luke 18:17 Jesus says,
Truly I say unto you, whosoever shall not receive the Kingdom of God as a little child, shall in no way enter therein" As a "little child" you should receive the promises of God without question.
Do you remember a time, when your children would believe anything you told them? Be that "little child" This is entering into the "Kingdom of God"
Realize also that it is your Fathers will for you to enter in, and receive all the fullness of his Kingdom.
In John 15:7 Jesus says, "If you abide in me, and my words abide in you; you shall ask what you will, and it shall be done unto you.

What Jesus says, should settle the issue.
It's promised to you, no doubt about it. It has to work.
Let God be true and let every man be a liar.
In the second letter of Peter 1: 4 Peter says,
"Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these you might (will) be partakers of the divine nature", "Christ's nature".
You need to know these promises and stand firm in them, even if what you see with your eye is contrary, at the moment to the promise.
You will begin to see the changes take place.

Believe for the "Benefits"
they're yours for the asking.

I pray this teaching opens your understanding and your faith. I ask in the name of Jesus.
