NEWS

The project still referred to by the working title "The Gardener," starring Tim Dorman, has finished its first and only Ashtabulan shooting phaze, although the final role of film didn't turn out (due to a spectacular confluence of mechanical camera problems, bad film stock, and poor processing), and reshoots in New York will have to happen shortly. Also, this is a month old, but I might as well mention it now - a group project animation of Raymond Roussel's novel Locus Solus compiled by the Digital Animation class I'm currently in is availiable for viewing on the internet at www.locussolus.net. "Chapter 2" is the animation I contributed to. 4/18/06

My video short "Landscape Study #6: Elegy," retitled simply "Elegy," will premier at the Kent Film Festival in Kent, Connecticut on Saturday, March 25th, in a slightly re-edited form. Production for a black and white 16mm short tentatively titled "The Gardener" looks to be underway for late March/early April, with luck. 2/16/06

The second of the two trailers for viz. has now been posted on the viz. Main Page. On January 10th, the most completed version of the picture was brought to Columbus, OH for a small private screening for most of the cast. This produced a commentary track that will hopefully make it onto at least one version of the DVD. The film is in the final stages of completion, with the recording of the score the only major task left undone. 1/23/06

The first of two trailers - one sincere, one ironic - for viz. is now posted on the viz. Main Page. This first trailer is the "ironic" trailer. Keep your eyes peeled for the "sincere" trailer. 1/01/06

My apologies - cutting a trailer for viz. has been immensely more difficult than I first imagined; so difficult, in fact, that it was easier for me to cut together an entire version of the movie than it was to cut together a 1 min 40 sec version of it. However, don't despair, I promise that not only one but TWO trailers will be up by the end of the year, one that more seriously reflects the tone of the picture and a second that is a bit of a joke, but should be informative as well as entertaining. Meanwhile, I've added info on four new Landscape Studies on the Shorts page so you can see what has been sucking up all of my time and preventing me from providing the trailer I promised (not to mention any info on music) 12/03/05

October 8th, 9th, 10th and 11th marked the final wave of shooting for the newest movie, viz., and now it has completely moved into the editing cavern. Two final photos of Mr. JC Mudd have been posted in the behind-the-scenes section, and now there is an additional option with which to satisfy your scopophilia: we have moved into the realm of still frames. Take a peek into what the movie is actually going to look like. With any luck I’ll get a two-or-three minute trailer for viz up within, oh, I dunno, two months or so. Until then, at least I've updated the Even Odder Internet main page to promote it. Peace. 10/24/05

Even Odder Internet has a bold new look to its main page. It's about time. Regrettably, the largest and most recognizable picture featured in the new multi-layered logo is my own face; I hope to remedy this later by constantly updating the page’s look to reflect whatever large project is currently most pertinent. In addition to this, I have added information on two new shorts (my first in awhile) and made the viz. main page somewhat more user-friendly (esoteric directorial mumbo-jumbo has now been relegated to a specifically assigned section). Also, I don’t wish to give too much away, but … look for a new music section to be up soon. 9/21/05

Crazy Ray: The Movie and Commercialized DVDs, both of which have been out of print for awhile now, have now been brought back into print due to popular demand. The new batch of Crazy Ray DVDs are even (gasp!) different from the originals, featuring a myriad of improvements fixing a host of small problems with the original printings, including miscalibrated stereo, poor color correction, discrepancies between the labeling of the chapters on Disc One and Disc Two, and one very audible and distracting pop in the soundtrack. In other words, now is the time to buy if you have the highest standards for quality for your Even Odder products. 9/02/05

The first wave of filming for viz. is officially finished. Unfortunately, there is still a small bit that needs to be done, which will hopefully be completed smoothly and easily some upcomming weekend. New photos are up on the "behind the scenes" page, which I have restructured to fit everything on one page. Thus, it would be wise to disregard the instructions in the previous update and simply access everything by clicking here. Special thanks to Barbie, Dee, and Mike, who are now completely done, and of course thanks to Elen and John; I look forward to the fall. 8/30/05

The intense project that is viz. is moving forwards in spurts of smoothness and spurts of roughness, and is currently around 75 or 80 percent shot. More photos are now up, you can access them by going to the original viz. behind the scenes page and clicking on "more," or simply by clicking here. Thank ou to the entire cast for an incredibly productive week. 8/23/05

I said expect photos soon, and soon they came. There is now a very basic viz. section that you can access through the "Film and Video Projects" page, or by clicking here. Behind-the-scenes photos (culled directly from existing footage) are about all that is up right now; you can also access those here. The photos turned out kind of small on the page, no more than thumbnails, really, but you can view them seperately or save them to your desktop to view larger images for the time being. Be on the lookout for more updates, which will hopefully be coming more frequently since a major project is underway. 8/16/05

This past Wednesday, August 10th, marked the first day of shooting for my newest project, entitled viz. This finally concludes a lengthy (10-month) preproduction phase. The past weekend has been incredibly productive, and I hope to keep the site posted with new updates on the status of this picture. Expect photos soon. 8/15/05

The Iron Aarvark Film Festival, highlighting works by Bard College students (both inside and outside the film department) is Saturday, May 7 and Sunday, May 8, beginning at 8:30 both evenings. Two shorts of mine will be showing Sunday night of the festival, as well as pleanty of other quality work. 5/06/05

On April 27th, I presented two shorts, "I Am in No Position to Further Comment on This," and "On Thought ...," my first project to be shot and edited on film, to a board of professors and successfully modertated into the department of film and electronic arts at Bard College. Details on "On Thought ...," my most recently completed piece, have now been added to the shorts section. 5/01/05

The video on this site is back up, after being down for about a month or so. The files themselves are leaner, which means they're not quite as enlargable, but the upside of that is that I can add more, which I have immediately taken advantage of: there are several new clips, all segments from shorts, enhancing my new section devoted to them. Basic information on Strata has been posted; the premier of that now looks to be pushed back to April or May. 2/10/05

Sorry about the lack of updates lately. A new area has been added devoted to video shorts I've been working on, bringing this website up to date to what I've been doing in the past year. Each short has at least one still and a short synopsis. Information on Strata, a 28-minute mid-length project I finished this past fall and which should premier soon, will be arriving shortly. The video has been down on this site, but at least some of it will return. 1/31/05

The Commercialized premier has come and gone, thank you everyone for your support. DVDs are avaliable, there is talk of another showing, and, for those of you who would like to know more, an interview with me about the whole endeavor is going to be shown on the Ashtabula County Newsnet on July 6th, complete with clips from the movie. (Newsnet is broadcast on the Kent Ashtabula public access channel.) 7/3/04

Crazy Ray DVD is finally out, and date is set for Commercialized premier: May 21, 2004 at 9:00 PM. Tickets $3.00. Be there and see ... uh ... history being made ... or at least a good flick. 4/25/04

New video clip: the second trailer for Commercialized. New Even Odder homepage is under construction. NOTE: The Mall sequence had to go to make room for new clip. Look forward to seeing it again ... on the big screen or on DVD. 1/30/04

More gutting, more new video clips. The Crazy Ray DVD will rear it's (ugly?) head just in time for Christmas (or perhapse just in time for New Years ...), and to celebrate I'm offering a sneak peak at one of the OVER 2 HOURS WORTH of special features: a few precious seconds of the Director/Star Commentary!!! Also, there's a bit more of Commercialized for your enlightenment, the release date of that now looks to be Mayish. Click here to go straight to the videos section. 12/11/03

I've decided to completely gut the site and build it again from the ground up. The old photo galleries and literature is going to be non-existent shortly to make room for more video and audio. Speaking of more video, there is more here, but it might be a little confusing for those not "in the know." Anyway, even if you can't make heads or tails of it because it requires knowlege of Commercialized, you still might want to check it out because while filming it Brian Mudd and I got kicked out of the mall. Click here to go straight to the videos section. 10/16/03

So, for thoes of you who thought I was dead, or at least hadn't updated my webpage for a very long time, I tell you, folks, no such luck. VIDEOS ARE FINALLY HERE!! Just take a jaunt over to that section and check it out; I have two previews, one for Crazy Ray and the other for a movie still in production called Commercialized. Oh, they're in Quicktime, so I hope you all have that. Well, it's good to be back. 9/26/03

Finally, It's Complete - Photos from the Ashtabula Arts Center premier of "Crazy Ray: The Movie," directed by myself, are here. Also here are behind-the-scenes shots and frames from the movie. Enjoy! 1/16/03

"Give My Regards to Broadway" photos in, also much more ... I updated the photo album to include Band Camp '01 photos, Brigadoon and Cabaret '01 pics. Sorry about the false promise about the video. Here - here's a picture of Bryan Nelling morphed into ET to cheer you up. 3/5/02

I finally got a new scanner! Tons of new photos to celebrate. For Our Town photos, click here. For photos of the burning of the Edgewood pumpkin-chuckin' catapult, click here. For miscellaneous stuff from summer and fall, click here. More good news: I should have at least a few seconds of video on this page before the year is out. 12/2/01

Our Town tapes now avaliable for order. 11/10/01

HUGE NEWS!!! The Orgasmic Tuba's long-awaited debut cd is now avaliable through IJ Productions! The cd, which has been in production since last September, and includes Tuba's hits Good Morning, Bagel Difficulties, Battlechess, Tuba Colada, Bourbon Chicken and We are Sorry, as well as 10 remixes and 22 other tracks. Click here for more info. 8/26/01

Sorry about the lack of updates for so long, but I ran into several problems. One, my password wouldn't work, so I couldn't annouce the dates of Zombie Prom and Working at the AAC, which are now both over. Second of all, my scanner broke, which is temporarily prohibiting me from posting photos from thoes two shows, as well as from Band Camp 2001. Band camp photos should be up soon - as soon as I get them developed. I'm a little behind. 8/26/01

I forgot to announce Cabaret, 5/11/01, which was one of my most anticipated performances of the past year. Well, too late to come now, but I have pictures of it here. I also have pictures from Choral Ball, but no prom even though that was three weeks ago. Sorry. I'm slow on getting pictures developed unless they're REALLY improtant. 5/22/01

They're here ... audio files are now up. It's mostly TUBA stuff, but there are also cakewalk files that I produced, as well as remixes and one weird Christmas present. Click here to be transported directly to music. No video yet. 3/6/01

Woah! I've been buzy. I forgot to announce that I was appearing in the Arts Center's dual teen production of "Yearbook" and "Love, Death and the Prom", now that's been over for two weeks, and I have no photos of it. Bummer. I don't have any photos of Mock Trial Competition, either. Those were all submitted to yearbook. However, I do have photos of"Brigadoon", our high shcool musical that took place last week. Forgot to announce that one, too. Oh, well. Enjoy the photos. I'll try to steal some of Mock Trial for a day and put them up. 3/5/01

Okay, I FINALLY got Charlie and the Chocolate Factory pictures up a month after the fact and after not having updated ANYTHING on this site forever. I was running out of room, but I got 50 free mgs so that shouldn't be a problem anymore. I took full advantage of all the new space with the New Photos page, all of the pictures are REALLY big, but click around because not all of the expandable photos have that nifty little link highlight over them. Thanks to everyone who bought a Charlie video, I've now sold 21. There are still plenty available. Thankee. 12/5/00

Tuba is going through radical changes, and may not exist anymore, at least not under its current name. Look for future updates on this subject. TUBA VIDEOS STILL AVAILIABLE, AND NOW THEY'RE COLLECTOR'S ITEMS! 9/14/00

Want anything put up on this page? Tell me! I have nothing better to put on here. 8/28/00

Band Camp 2000 photos are in! I also have quotes. For photos click here, for quotes click here. 8/3/00

Sorry for the lack of updates and (especially) new photos, but nothing much is happening right now. I don't see any King and I photos getting posted here, my apologies to the cast of that. Happy Summer Solstice. 6/21/00
