Cheap drinks for all, even cheaper with a matric card, so a good place to start a night out, what with a taxi-rank right outside and the Underground next door. Always a few homos gracing the joint, but as with most student joints, there is a lot of ambiguity about the clientele - boy, girl, gay, straight? Über-trendy Belgian-esque joint, serving that old Belgo-fave, moûles et frites. Quite pricey, and with very bare decor, it should appeal to all you rustic minimalists. Excellent conservatory/garden area out back (ideal for cruising passing students!), its a nice place to while away a sunny afternoon. Full of under-agers from the local schools, chicken-lovers will rejoice. Predominantly straight, up-for-it crowd, the bar has various nights, a regular DJ set, and a fairly groovy cafe/restaurant. With all this crammed into three fairly small levels it's worth a look but not worth staying for long. Unofficial dress code in operation. Boys should wear good trews and a shirt.
