Brrr its cold in here
This is a picture of a glacier creeping its way down the mountain slope. The temperature of the area was about 50 degrees and a jacket would have been nice.
Ah the mighty Pacific
This was an emotional moment for me, my 1st view of the Pacific Ocean. If you look closely you may be able to see the glaciers flowing into the glacial rivers. There were some small icebergs in these rivers but you can barely see them.
Majestic Tree Spiked Slopes
This photo was taken in the same area as the photo of the glacier. I went to Alaska in August and it appears that snow has been there all summer. And yes, those white things in the water are icebergs. I went down to the water to feel just how cold it was...and it is cold make no doubt about that.
