Vienna

We took a late train to Vienna. It was only about 4 hours, but who cares it was on a European train! The countryside of Czech Republic is very poor. I was shocked to see just how poor...we are talking shacks, but it was nonetheless beautiful landscape. That all changed as soon as we got to Austria. It was a lot more prosperous and Vienna is beautiful. Just magical.

Ringestrasse

Bill Bryson was correct when he once said Vienna would be the capital of Earth. All the buildings are very stately. Here is a horse carriage outside the Hapsburg Palace on the Ringestrasse.

Oh the magic...

This is a sweet park between the Albertina (world famous art museum) and the Palace. It snowed the night before and the effect was surreal.
