Depression

When the darkness dawns upon you

And wraps you within it's cloak

Invades your mind and senses

And turns your heart to stone

When life becomes an effort

With pain and sorrow too

The time has come to journey on

To learn to live again

When the black fades to grey

The sunlight filters through

It is time to take your first step

While the shadow guides your way

When your mind begins to clear

The memories bring you joy

Your heart begins to beat again

My journey with you is done.
