The Theme

The theme is based on Lady Carrie's love of castles, old traditions, heraldry, nobility, royalty and most of all, romance! And who doesn't deserve to feel like royalty on their wedding day?

The theme of the reception would best be described as a "castle theme." This is because the decorations, favours and clothing are influenced by both medieval and renaissance times, but are not in themselves accurate portrayals of any one time period.

Guests are not required to dress in the castle theme, but if they want to join in the fun they are more than welcome! Any dark, rich colours and fabrics would fit in wonderfully. Women could wear long and/or full skirts. The men could wear dark shirts with vests and pants.

The chosen colours are (if you have not already guessed) silver and burgundy. The hall will be decorated with banners, shields and candles. You wouldn't want to spoil all the surprises though, so you'll have to wait and see!

The Ceremony & Reception

The ceremony uniting Lady Carrie and Sir Gerry will come to pass just west of the Queen Elizabeth II Gardens in gorgeous Jackson Park on Tecumseh Road East in Windsor, Ontario. The Reverend Lynn Boudreau of Rose City Wedding Services will perform the simple civil ceremony. The ceremony is set to commence at three o'clock in the afternoon.

The immediate Family of the Bride and Groom will remain with the Bridal Party at Jackson Park for the ritual of the wedding photographs. Even the Royal Canines will be in attendance for a pose or two!

Once the photography session is concluded, feasting and merriment will follow! All will gather at the Royal Canadian Legion located at 12326 Lanoue Street (on Lesperance across from St. Anne's Church) in the quaint village of Tecumseh, Ontario. Cocktails will be served to the royal guests beginning at 6 o'clock in the evening, and the family style feast will commence at approximately half past the hour. The music and merriment will be provided by Jammin' Joe's DJ Service and the Master of Ceremonies will be Sir Joseph himself!
