Maybe you didn't know this, but Compulsory Certification is a joke, a lie, it's just plain bunk Compulsory Certification - it's all bunk!

Martin Hudson tells us, maybe they didn't really take a whole five years to pull this caper off in the Ohio legislature The true confession of Martin Hudson

Hey, NANTs, BONENT HEADS, Leave us Techs ALONE!!

Clinical Studies? What Clinical Studies?

Here's a new twist to the SB111 saga.... Are there Clinical Studies which justify Mandatory Certification? Check out Techboard to see the intelligent responses to this question...

On second thought... don't bother to go to Brumley.Com!! I'll save you the trouble, I'll tell you the truth.. there are no clinical studies which justify SB111 or taking away the jobs from hundreds of hard working, honest PCTs in Ohio. This whole thing is based upon the opinions of a few "experts", such as some of the members of NANT.

So, keep this in mind while you're deciding to do without for the next few months to pay for your BONENTization, or hitting the bricks for a new job... this wasn't necessary at all. In fact, there is no proof whatsoever the Mandatory Certification will help our patients. This whole thing, SB111, is a sham!!

Testing

Ohio Techs; You don?t need tested? Well, guess what, you?re going to get one anyhow! It's for your own good, it's for the patients, it's for the Childrun...

NANT gets its own domain name! Now if they could just act like Professional Techs, and not like the PLO!!

Why get licensed? Because the ORA says so!! Why_get_licensed?

Breaking News, I found this "True Confession" at Renalweb! Martin Hudson, former President of NANT admits in a September 1999 Interview with Renalweb staff, "California's Dialysis Tech certification is a joke". Martin also says, "NANT sponsored Dialysis Tech Licensing this fall (1999). This NANT sponsored bill to license Dialysis Techs is languishing in the House for lack of AMA support". The NANTs told us on brumley.com that the Dialysis Tech law was the fault of the Ohio Board of Nursing. They lied and blamed the RNs! What else are they lying about?

Ooops.. I made a mistake. The real cost of the BONENT exam is $180.00. See it here on the BONENT exam page from Applied Measurement Professionals. BONENT doesn't even have an office, they have a PO Box! What's the deal, we gonna give money to an outfit which doesn't have a domain name, its own website and works out of PO box? Sounds fishy to me....

Why your State doesn't need Compulsory Exams like the ones Ohio is getting! Here are five good reasons why...

The Countdown - Five good reasons why you don't need it

5. Click on NANT.ORG and BONENT.ORG. Nothing happens, right, or do you end up on someone else's site? In this day and age someone expects you to give $175.00 $180.00 to outfits that don't even have their own domain names on the Internet? Here are the real addresses for NANT, which goes by "www.dialysistech.org" because they weren't in time enough to get NANT.ORG. BONENiT still lives on the site of Applied Measurement Professionals, alongside sites for the Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine and the Montana Board of Realty Regulation.

Are you Impressed with the professionalism of their Internet Sites? Do you want to give $175.00 $180.00 plus preparation time and costs to a company whose only presence on the Internet is bogarting other people's sites and URLs? Check the BONENT site and then come back. Ask yourself, "Why should I give a bunch of people money when they don't even have their own websites or domain names?" Keep in mind, I am not asking you to give me money. I'm asking you to question people who insist that you're only a professional if you do it their way, but their way isn't too Professional".

4. Ohio doesn't require any practical coursework to get your certificate, only "standardized training", in other words, Government mandated OJT. Hello? Doctors and Nurses have to take practical hands on courses, lots of them. I guess we techs are just that, a pair of hands which don't require any coursework. Why do we need a license if we're not going to get standardized training by accredited institutions? Here's why? The BONENT HEADS and NANTs aren't serious about professionalism amongst technicians. They're only serious about their own prestige and personal authority. Proof is in the requirements; pay a $175.00 $180.00 fee, take one test and you too are a "professional".

3. The Ohio Board of Nursing administers the Dialysis Tech certification program. Talk about "conflict of interest"! RNs have always been supervising us, the dialysis companies try to hire us instead of them because they are so very expensive, and now RNs will get to regulate us?

2.What's a piece of paper going to do for you that experience, judgement and love of your profession can't do? Do you need a piece of paper to be a professional? No!

1.Certification; it's so good for you that you have to be made to get Certified.

Scenarios

The possible scenarios for your unit. Read how the bosses are going to deal with you after you?ve been BONENTed in black and white. The bottom line is aimed at your rear end! Get your padding ready, your bum is in for a kicking if the Ohio Board of Nursing gets its way!

What should the BONENT HEADS and NANTs do instead of ramming their test down our throats?

1. Dennis Todaro and Company have a NANT site even if they call it "www.dialysistech.org" . Let these "voices of the Professional Dialysis Technician" use their site to educate the rest of us. How? Written lessons with Java or Javascript quizzes. How hard is it? I'll soon show you.

2. Dialysis Joe, known as Joe Atkins, has part ownership of a freestanding dialysis clinic. He could easily make and market video tapes of his highly trained and well motivated staff doing the techniques the way Joe says it should be done. Joe could sell them at cost as a service to all of these techs he's worried enough about to spend time politicking for mandatory testing. Hey, Joe, earn your money the old fashioned, way, work for it!

3. There are a lot of people at www.brumley.com's renal sites who are so full of knowledge. Let them impress the heck out of us and make up their own sites like I have done where they can share all of this knowledge they claim lurks between their ears. I'm tired of blowhards taking potshots because they are too lazy to get their hands dirty doing some work. This page has taken almost a dozen hours of time, every bit of it worth it, but it is hard work. Some people would rather lurk in the shadows and take pot shots, or even let some Politician do their dirty work for them. Such people have no damned business lecturing those of us who beleive that the "system" needs help, and that getting a politician do your work for you isn't getting your work done.

Gallery of Racketeers!

These are both the racketeers who gave America booze during Prohibition or who gave the Ohio Board of Nursing Permission to extort 175.00 $180.00 of your hard earned money so you are allowed to take care of your patients. Bootleggers and racketeers, together in good company. The color pics are those of the sponsors of SB111, all Ohio State Senators by the names of Drake, Armbruster, Spada and Watts. The black and white photos are of Al Capone, Dutch Schultz, and Benjamin "Bugsy" Siegel, all were bootleggers. Albert Anastasia and Louis "Lepke" Buchhalter were members of "Murder Inc." Some crooks use a gun, others use a pen, but both get what they want; power and money.

Meet the Future - The Dialysis Tech Trainee

The Horrors of Churning, the future of Ohio Dialysis. Is a new type of Tech, the "Dialysis Tech Trainee"; tommorow's new Dialysis Tech or today's Temporary Dialysis Tech worker? Check the numbers on my spreadsheet and think about the people in Management who today complain about the number of bandages you use on a patient! Since SB111 does not forbid the use of temporary workers of course they'll use temps, everyone else does! The new Rule; eighteen months and then "Asta La Vista Baby"
