Welcome to my home page. My name is Brenda Steinbrecher. I
teach Language Arts and Social Studies to seventh graders at Buckeye Valley
Middle School in Delaware County, Ohio. This will be the fourth year
in our new, beautiful brick facility.
I live in Delaware City with my husband and three children. We have
lived in our present home for 19 years. My children are ages 13,
14, and 20. Of course the oldest is off to college in Indiana.
I like to take short road trips around Ohio, read books, go to movies
and watch my children in their various sports, music, art, drama and academic
performances.
I grew up in Delaware and graduated from R. B. Hayes High School, named
after the 19th President of the United States who was born in our illustrious
city. I attended The Ohio State University, graduating with a degree
in education. I taught for one year in Chillicothe, Ohio and then
four years in Buckeye Valley Elementary in Ashley, Ohio. For the
next two years I worked on a reading certificate and earned my Masters
at Ohio State. While my children were young I taught and tutored
at Willis Middle School in Delaware. Then eight years ago I returned
to Buckeye Valley as a seventh grade teacher where I continue to enjoy
the students and staff.
