My Breast Augmentation Experience

This is my story:

I waited many years to get this done and went to the plastic surgeon

that everyone spoke so highly of. I had done some research before I ever

went to see him, so I pretty much knew what needed to be done to get the

look I wanted. I wanted to be able to go without a bra if I wanted to

not that I even would, but just that I could. I asked this ps on at

least two different occasions whether I needed a lift and he said, and I

quote, "No, an augmentation will do it." Trusting him because he was

highly recommended was my undoing. The first three weeks were great.

They were full and big, but then the swelling went down. I have a thin

chest, not much fullness after all the pregnancies I have had and

breastfeeding. He took the after pics (3 weeks) of me while the swelling

was still very high. (unethical, in my opinion) I went back to him on

two different occasions explaining to him that I was sagging too much.

In the first visit he said, and I quote once again, "Real women do not

look like the women in Playboy, they use invisible tape to make them

look like that." I said, "I do not want to look like the women in

Playboy, I just want to be able to go without a bra if I want to." He

also asked me if I had received any compliments on my "new and improved"

look. I told him no, that was not my objective in the first place

because I work in the criminal field and this was for me, and no one

else. (Except hubby a little bit!) The last occasion that I saw him he

told me that I did not need a lift and I would not be satisfied with it

if I had it done and that I should get a second opinion. Then he

recommended a ps for me to go to. I went to a second opinion with

someone who has MANY years of experience that works in the same office

that his recommendation works in. They are partners. The experienced ps

took one look at my before and after pics and asked if he could take a

look at me. He then started drawing on my chest and told me exactly what

needed to be done to get me the look that I wanted. He called in his

partner for a consult due to the fact that he no longer does implants

because he is retiring. She totally agreed with the ps with experience

and these are my results almost $10,000.00 (both aug.) later.

So ladies, do not believe what your plastic surgeon says just out of

hand, do your research on Nicoles site and talk to the women there. Look

at pictures.

I wanted to put this site up to show you what can happen when you

do what they want and not what you want.

He did not refund any money, but did offer to replace the implants if I

needed them. He wrote a letter and stated that he had arranged it with

my new ps, which he did not do. She had not heard from him. He basically

took my money and acted like I was a spoiled child and would not be

happy with anything. Meanwhile, since she had not heard from him, she

took it upon herself to talk to her implant representative. He provided

me with a courtesy pair for her to use. I am HAPPY with this. It is

still new, but you can see that once they drop, they will be great and

the scar will be a fine white line (hopefully!), which I can live with.

Besides the fact that I was less concerned with the scarring than I was

with the sagging. Also my new ps said that if I needed a little nip and

tuck she would do it in the office under local. She is determined to

get me where I wanted to be. There is such a vast difference in plastic

surgeons! Update!! On April 11, 2001, I went back to Dr. Camp in

Warren, Ohio and got a full lift on both breasts. They are looking

awesome! Updated photos on the bottom of the list.

Would you be happy with the work of the first ps???????
