Tim Burton is an artist as well as a film maker. He drew the illustrations for his book, the Melancoly Death of Oyster Boy. These are some odd, Edward Gorey-esque pictures that occupany stories, most of which are about the demise of a inoocent little boy or girl. It's dark and twisted from a traditional point of view, but also genius (from my point of view).
Tim (yesweareonafirstnamebasisthankyouverymuch) also drew the orginal sketches and whatnot for Nightmare Before Christmas, before it was made into the masterpiece we know of today. Also, he drew the orginal drawings for "Vincient" an animated short he made while still a student with Disney. Want to sample his art? Look no furthur!
