To Protect And Serve

My Name is Jim Pastore; I am a Patrolman with the Boardman Ohio Police Department. I am a 23-year veteran, currently assigned to the Patrol Division/Crime Scene Investigator. I was previously assigned to the Crisis Response Team. I also served two terms as the F.O.P. President for my lodge. I started in Law Enforcement in 1977 as a Deputy Sheriff with the Mahoning County Sheriff's Department, leaving there in 1981 as a Sergeant. I then went to the Youngstown Police Department where I was assigned to the Patrol Division and the Vice and Narcotics Unit, I left there in 1989 to take a job with my present Department. I am nearing the end of my career here in Ohio and have hopes of relocating to S.W. Florida after my retirement. I hope to stay in some type of law enforcement or in the law field when I relocate.

This is my personal home page and should not be construed to be an official page of the Boardman Police Department. Any opinions on this page are my personal opinions and not the opinion of any agency and should not be interpreted as such.

In my 23 years of being a Police Officer, I have seen many changes. When I first started my career, my training officers taught me a concept that is now called community policing. Community Policing is not a new concept; it is just a new name for something that has always been a basic part of Police work.

I also added some links that I hope you find useful. The Internet is a wonderful resource for labor-related issues, as well as research for new ideas to make our job more productive. With all the changes in our job over the years it's a good idea to stay one step ahead in both the criminal law as well as labor law.

If you have, any ideas or links that you think I should add please email me with your suggestions or your comments regarding my page. And if you want me to add your Web Page to my link, please add mine to yours. I hope you enjoy my page. God Bless And Stay safe!

Shortly after making this home page I was injured in the line of duty and just recently have taken a disability retirement. It's been a year since my injury and I really do miss Police work. If there is anyway I can be of help to anyone please feel free to write to me. My email has changed, due to angelfire no longer offering email. So you can email me at NeOhioCop1@aol.com
