The biggest weather news for 2006 in Newcomerstown had to be the continued snow drought. From January 1st through December 31st there was just 7.0 of snowfall measured.
Even though September dropped over eight inches of rainfall on us, there were three months with below two inches of precipitation recorded. Still there was over 40 of precipitation. Had those three months been at or a little over normal, the 50 mark may have been eclipsed for the second time in just four years.
