LISA MARIE ROBERTS
(Plz be patient as image loads!)
September 13, 1978 ~ May 22, 1999
On May 22, at approximately 1:00 a.m., Lisa Roberts, Lora Hernandez, and
Carrie Thornton were in a head on crash near Columbus, Ohio. A doctor from
Columbus was somehow distracted (whether asleep at the wheel or simply careless as he drove, we do not know)
and came left of center, crashing into
their 1999 Neon. Although Lisa was talking with her brother after the
accident, when the paramedics arrived at the accident, Lisa had no vital
signs and was pronounced dead at approximately 1:45 a.m. Lora Hernandez
died later that same morning. Carrie Thornton, Lisa's best friend was
severely injured and is recuperating currently.
Lisa Marie Roberts comes from a wonderful family that is deeply rooted in God, and in one another. Her family is one of much involvement within the Church and the community. Lisa was planning her marriage at the time of her death. On October 16, 1999, she had scheduled to become Mrs. Todd Williams while taking on the task of motherhood for two wonderful children.
To speak of Lisa's friends, she had many. Lisa, aka "Shaquisa," overflowed with a deep passionate love for others. She was a joyful individual who stayed in close contact with friends, no matter the distance.
Lisa had the amazing ability to keep people laughing. And they wouldn't laugh just a chuckle or a "courteous" laugh, but a deep down, in your gut, rolling on the floor laugh, which many consider a gift. Hers, on the other hand, was one that you couldn't get out of your head and wouldn't want to forget.
Lisa left behind her friends, family, and many heartfelt memories. Though it may be sad for us, those left behind, we know that Lora and Lisa are with the Lord. We also know that we will see them both one day if we remain walking closely with the Lord. What a wonderful promise!
