Lord, this valleys lonesome,
I don't think anyone knows but me;
I smile and say, "I'm OK."
As I try to hold back the tears.
And though I tried,
I can't get this prayer through;
And Lord, I've been down here before,
And I know what I must do.
Until I hear from Heaven,
Lord I stay on my knees;
And I'll just keep calling on you Lord,
Till you'll hear my plea.
It doesn't matter,
If no one else sees;
I know you're there in answer to this prayer,
So I'll just stay on my knees.
Sometimes we wonder why,
God doesn't answer when we pray;
We only give Him a moment,
Then we go on our way.
Sometimes He wants to hear from us,
With a fervent, earnest prayer;
And when we linger in his presence,
Every situation will find He's there.
Until I hear from Heaven,
Lord I stay on my knees;
And I'll just keep calling on you Lord,
Till you'll hear my plea.
