"Despite speculation, Christian has stated that him and Edge will stay together as a team. The recent pushes of both in single's competition has actually pulled the two closer as a team, says Christian. He also stated that if he had to chose between being a single wrestler or being a tag team, that he'd prefer staying a tag-team because of all of the success that the two have had together."
Rhyno recently conducted an interview with Joltin' Joe and here is a few comments he made concerning Edge & Christian:
» When Joltin' Joe asked Rhyno about the highlight of his WWF career thus far, Rhyno emphasized that it had to be at WWF WrestleMania X-Seven, when he interfered in the TLC 2 match between the Dudley Boyz, Hardy Boyz, and Edge and Christian. Rhyno told us that it was amazing to be in front of 70 000 screaming fans at WrestleMania.
» As you already may know, Rhyno entered the WWF by being in Edge and Christian's corner. However, it turns out that Rhyno has always been good friends with the seven time WWF Tag Team Champions. When Joltin' Joe asked Rhyno about Edge and Christian, Rhyno said that both of them great guys. He said that they are probably the most "down to earth guys" you could ever meet and they are the best guys you in the whole world. He went on to say that Edge lets Rhyno stay at his house in Florida and eat all his food. However, Christian has yet to invite him to his home, so Rhyno will probably just end up inviting himself.
Interview with Christian
Date Aired: July 11, 2001
Interviewer: Joltin' Joe
TORONTO -- This past week, Christian did a one-on-one interview on Joltin' Joe's Wrestling Hotline. The King of the Ring semi-finalist talked about the Edge/Christian breakup, the WCW invasion, and more. Here's what Christian had to say:
Christian said that although singles' competition has been challenging, it's nice to have a change.
He said he was happy to accomplish so many titles as a tag team with Edge.
Christian expressed that he believes that the WWF/WCW purchase is good for the business and industry, from a storylines aspect.
When asked who he would like to face WCW, Christian said he wouldn't mind facing Kidman, because it would be "nice to kick his a**."
Christian said that although he loves Canada, he moved to Florida, so he doesn't have to deal with the cold, bitter, Canadian winters.
The seven-time tag team champion emphasized that he is still a major hockey fan.
He went on to say that he thinks Vince Carter will re-sign with the Toronto Raptors.
As far as hockey goes, Christian said that the Leafs needed to get bigger up front. He said a solution for this was perhaps the Leafs putting Edge and Christian on the roster.
Getting back to wrestling, Christian told Joltin' Joe that he plans for TLC matches by trying not to think about them. He said that it helps greatly if you try to relax before the match. Lastly, Christian said that TLC has helped open a lot of doors for all three teams (Edge and Christian, Hardyz and Dudleyz).

From the "Informer" section of WWF magazine (August 2001):
Apparently The Informer overheard Kurt Angle speaking to someone with a deep voice saying, " If we can just get CHRIS, we'll be ready to go. FUNAKI is on board, E&C are gung-ho, TERRI is cash, and SNOW says that PATTERSON and BRISCO have signed on. Chris is the linchpin though, and if he comes on board, we'll be all set." The Informer stated we might know by SummerSlam what this all means, and it all depends on Chris. (There is a large picture of Chris Jericho in the article, which might be a clue.)
"Christian's going to be a great hand here. It's just a matter of maturing and getting his singles feet under him."

In addition to suffering a possible broken tailbone, Kurt Angle also took a shot to the head in his King of the Ring semifinal match against Christian. Several wrestlers backstage were amazed that Angle continued the two matches he had left. It is unknown whether Angle suffered a concussion.
Edge undoubtedly pulled an upset victory over Kurt Angle, to win the coveted King of the Ring crown. With some of the top superstars in the WWF injured, it could be the cue for Edge to gain a big push. The WWF consider Edge to be one of the young talents, who can go very far. Look for a split to occur between himself and Christian very soon, which will leave Edge to pursue his singles career. Look for an angle to develop, where Christian will become increasingly jealous of his Edge's success. We saw Christian arguably try to cost Edge the King of the Ring in his match with Kurt Angle, it was apparent that Edge did not realise the real intentions of Christian.
This past week on Live Audio Wrestling, Dan Lovranski conducted an exclusive one-on-one interview with former ECW Champion and two-time WWF Hardcore Champion, Rhyno. In the interview, Rhyno showed a completely different side of himself, as he discussed several issues with Lovranski. Here's what the "Man Beast" had to say:
» Rhyno talked about working with Edge and Christian and he said that you will probably always see the three of them helping each other out in the future. He said that he even stays at Edge's house in Tampa, when ever they go to Florida. Rhyno said that the three of them work together in the ring very well, and they have a close relationship with each other.
The following is a recap of an interview with Edge & Christian, which was conducted by Jeff "The Ref" Kohl of Live Audio Wrestling (The LAW) on June 16, 2001.
How do they feel about the prospects of breaking away from one another and working singles as a pose to in a tag team?
EDGE
- It would be a challenge, since for the past two and a half years, they’ve been working together as a tag team.
- Himself and Christian just sort of struck on a formula that has worked.
- He doesn’t feel that they’ve done all that they can as a tag team just yet, and would like to go for an 8th run with the tag straps with Christian.
- He says that they’ve teased the break-up before, and then haven’t gone through with it, so it just keeps people interested and always on their toes.
CHRISTIAN
- It’s something different, and a challenge, and he likes to thrive on challenges such as this one, to see if himself and Edge have it in them to break away from one another to do well in singles. He thinks that they have it within them to do just that.
- He’s really looking forward to the King of the Ring to see what happens as far as themselves is concerned.
Are they concerned at all about possibly breaking away from one another?
EDGE
- Not really,...if it were to happen, he feels that they can both stand on their own, ability and character wise.
- Maybe a year and a half ago, they couldn’t have said that.
- Story-line wise, he feels that the company would be behind them breaking away from each other, knowing that when you see either one of them out there on their own that you’re gonna get a good match from them.
How are they holding up physically, following their on-going series of TLC matches? Any injuries of note?
CHRISTIAN
- Going into matches like the TLC matches, there’s always a risk of serious injury, but he doesn’t try to think about it at all, as he doesn’t want to psyche himself out before the match.
- Regardless of what type of match they’re in, every time you step into the ring, there’s always a chance of injuries occurring.
- He says that that’s just a part of the game and a part of any sport that one participates in.
- Right now, his body’s feeling pretty good for the most part, a side from a stiff neck, a few scrapes, and generally feeling a little bit banged up.
EDGE
- He wonders if maybe he doesn’t deal with pain as well as Christian, and currently has a sore neck, elbow, and back.
- He finds it funny that in the TLC match, there’s such a big risk of getting injured, but thankfully, nobody has ever gotten seriously injured.
- He says how he finds that amazing, since when you go through a table, there’s screws all over the mat, and you end up falling on those screws.
- It’s the little things: he took a clothesline from the Undertaker, and two discs in the bottom of his back popped out.
- You can never say when an injury is gonna happen or how it’s gonna happen.
Do they ever get tired of working with the same teams like the Dudley’s and the Hardy’s?
CHRISTIAN
- The good thing about working with them constantly is that they’ve always been able to keep it fresh and exciting.
- He feels that all three teams are very creative, and that they’re always putting on something different out there to entertain.
- He says that they all gel well together and bring the best out of one another.
Would they be at all interested in working for the new WCW if the idea of them going there was suggested to them by the creative team?
EDGE
- He wouldn’t see it as a bad thing, as WCW will definitely need some WWF talent involved with their product in order to establish it as a strong force.
- If himself and Christian are considered established enough to go over there and help make WCW a strong force, than he would take that as a compliment.
- It would be cool to look back and say that they held the WWF tag titles and the WCW tag titles.
- Whatever opportunities are to a rise, he would look at it as a challenge and an opportunity, and make the most of it.
CHRISTIAN
- He feels that they key to this business is to reinvent yourself and to stay fresh, and if they were to go to WCW to help establish their product, he would also take that as a compliment.
- He doesn’t know if that’s going to be the case though for himself and Edge or for anybody else on the roster, but he certainly wouldn’t look at it as a bad thing.

"KOR is hard to predict from where I sit. The tournament semifinals feature four outstanding young performers who all have an opportunity to impress this Sunday. I look forward to these three matches. The Triple Threat main event features, arguably, our three hottest performers, Austin, Jericho and Benoit. It goes without saying that we will get a great effort from all three. This match has no choice but to deliver in a big way.
