Chapter One
Excuse me but can I be you for a while
My dog won't bite if you sit real still
I got the Anti-Christ in the kitchen yellin' at me again
Yeah I can hear that
Been saved again by the garbage truck
I got something to say you know but nothing comes
Yes I know what you think of me you never shut up
Yeah I can hear that
But what if I'm a mermaid
In these jeans of his with her name still on it
Hey but I don't care
Cause sometimes I said sometimes I hear my voice
and it's been Here
Silent all these years
So you found a girl who thinks really deep thoughts
What's so amazing about really deep thoughts
Boy you best pray that I bleed real soon
How's that thought for you
My scream got lost in a paper cup
You think there's a heaven where some screams have gone
I got 25 bucks and a cracker do you think it's enough
To get us there
Cause what if I'm a mermaid
In these jeans of his with her name still on it
Hey but I don't care
Cause sometimes I said sometimes I hear my voice and
it's been Here
Silent all these....
Years go by will I still be waiting
For somebody else to understand
Years go by if I'm stripped of my beauty
And the orange clouds raining in my head
Years go by will I choke on my tears
Till finally there is nothing left
One more casualty
You know we're too easy easy easy
Well I love the way we communicate
Your eyes focus on my funny lip shape
Let's hear what you think of me now
But baby don't look up
The sky is falling
Your mother shows up in a nasty dress
It's your turn now to stand where I stand
Everybody lookin' at you
Here take hold of my hand
Yeah I can hear them
But what if I'm a mermaid
In these jeans of his with her name still on it
Hey but I don't care
Cause sometimes I said sometimes I hear my voice I
hear my voice I hear my voice
And it's been Here
Silent all these years
I've been here
Silent all these years
Silent all these
Silent all these years

She had a visitor today. A knock on the door and the opening of it as the person walked in carrying a vase of various flowers. It was her friend, the famous wrestler. He had a name---Adam.....Adam Copeland. He was known to World Wrestling Federation fans as Edge, and he was ten years older than her.
He walked over and kissed her forehead. He took her into his home when he found out that she had no family and she was about to be put up into family services even though she was seventeen. She was grateful, for she didn't think that she would have a chance for survival if it hadn't been for him. He has saved her life twice, the suicide attempt being the second rescue.
"How are you?" he asked her with deep concern.
"Still kind of....nauseous," she admitted.
"I know this has been pressuring for you...." he began.
"You have no idea at all, Adam," she replied. "This has been a living hell for me, and I'm feeling the pressure get even more overwhelming every single day. I mean, this whole lawsuit with my gynecologist.....there's so much more to my life than just this situation. God, I wish my grandmother was here."
"I'm sorry you feel that way," he said sorrowfully. "I feel bad that I can't help you."
"You can help me by being here for me," she answered with a smile.
"When you lost the baby, I think that was even more painful for you," he said. "It was your heart and soul, despite the way it was conceived."
"My baby could have been everything to me," she sighed. "She could have been my family.....my only family."
"Hey," he replied gently, holding her hand, "you've still got me."
"And I'm glad you're here with me," Egypt admitted.
She squeezed his hand tightly and looked deep into his piercing sapphire eyes and seemed to melt. She somehow felt secure with him whenever he was near her. It was as if he was Prince Charming coming to the princess's rescue, no matter how corny the metaphor sounded. His sweet demeanor, blunt honesty, and intelligence---not to mention good looks---had appealed to Egypt instantly. He wasn't exactly her significant other, but they complemented each other so well.
"So," he asked, "when did the doctor say you would be out of the hospital?"
"They want to keep me overnight, so tomorrow at the latest," she said. "They're concerned about me and my mental state, though. They never mentioned it before, but when I told them about the lawsuit and the pressure I was under, they figured that I needed to clear my head a little before going home and they would give me this time to do it."
"And I really do think you need that time," Adam agreed, kissing her forehead once again. "I'm worried about you. So much has happened in the past year to you, and it's killing you. I want you to get some rest now, baby. Your family would want that."
As she closed her eyes and drifted off to sleep, Adam just stared at the young girl. She was too young to be treated like an adult. She wasn't ready for all this pressure, and the more he thought about it, the angrier he became.
