We humans inhabit a world that is bound and controlled by the passage of time. But, it is not merely a world of political regimes, revolutions, wars, agriculture, industry, economics, arts, sciences, or religions. It is a manifestation of human consciousness in search of its own identity. Mysticism is the art of being completely human, even in the most ordinary ways. It is a conscious quest for the essential elements of human existence, and a discipline to understand these temporal experiences through focused awareness and purposeful stages of improvement. |

Our understanding of the functions and structure of the human brain has increased more in the last thirty (30) years than it has in the previous five thousand (5,000). Yet, for all this knowledge, we still know almost nothing of its limits, capabilities or potentials. We have dissected it and analyzed it, but we are still no closer to finding a physical location of consciousness. The Universe of Universes is a vast and mysterious place, but the greatest of all mysteries lies hidden right here, between our own ears and behind our own eyes. It is a confounding paradox of the finite, material organism and the manifestation of the infinite, spiritual Self. |

The immutable Law of Conservation of Energy and Matter states that, since energy cannot be destroyed and can only be transmuted into other forms, and since the basic building blocks of all matter are subatomic energy particles, there must be just as much matter in existence now, at this very moment, as there ever was in the past or is ever likely to be in the future. Thus, there never was a true "Beginning" and there will never be a real "Ending" of the substance from which the Universe was created. Whether it [the Universe] is finite or infinite, whether it exploded and expands outward from a Cosmic Center, only to reverse and collapse back in upon itself, is not as important as the fact that it is eternal, without beginning or end. |

To the minds of most people, Infinity implies something vast and, ultimately, unknowable. It is a concept that we rarely have occasion to encounter in our daily lives. Both science and religion, however, encounter Infinity frequently, sometimes with dismay. Does the universe go on forever? Or, if space is not limitless, is there a barrier out there somewhere? And, what lies beyond that? Another often asked question: What happened before the beginning of time? Since every event is the result of a previous event, how could there even be a beginning of time? For Infinity to be truly infinite, it must stretch out forever in every direction throughout space and time. So, we shall see that the answers to these questions are paradoxical, confusing, and anything but obvious. |
