Introduction

Many people in Hong Kong are almost always busy and cannot afford to spend the time on preparing a healthy meal. They frequently eat at fast food restaurants or make themselves instant noodles because they are fast and convenient. Giving up health for convenience is not worth it. Fast food usually contains a lot of fat and simple sugars which, although they can supply a lot of energy, have no nutritional value.

What we need is the opposite of the nutritional value of fast food. We only need a small amount of simple sugars, fats and other minerals and vitamins. Carbohydrates are the most important in our diet, followed by fruits and vegetables, high protein foods (eg. eggs, dairy products) and meat. Which means we need sufficient amounts of Proteins, Fats, Carbohydrates, Vitamins, Minerals, Dietary Fibre , and, of course, we need water to survive!

We would like to help people living in Hong Kong to return to a healthy lifestyle. So, we've decided to construct a web site about ways to maintain a healthy diet. We hope you will enjoy this site and gain some more knowledge about eating right.

Our group has composed an Action Plan for you to follow if you feel you're not healthy enough.
