A cool damp mist flows slowly through the stale air. A hazy darkness blankets the vast emptiness. The silence is broken now and then by the sound of a light breeze rustling the clothing of a solitary female soldier, Setsuna, Sailor Pluto, the Guardian of Time.
Setsuna lingers in the cool, damp, shadows, awaiting the unlikely appearance of another life form. Her long dark hair caressed by the breeze. Her stunning crimson eyes, alert and watchful, yet relaxed and calm. She remains effortlessly poised for action with her staff at hand.
She is forever bound to solitude. Even though you can’t see her tears, she’s crying. Crying on the inside, secretly wishing to be free. Wishing to live on Earth, to feel the warmth of the sun, to smell the fresh air, to see the oceans and mountains, to taste sweet strawberries, to hear the sound of friendly laughter, to be loved….
Ah, but there is a special someone who holds a place in her heart. King Endymion. A tall, dark haired, blue eyed man. Oh how he touches Setsuna’s heart. But he does not know of her secret yearning for him. Endymion’s heart already belongs to the Goddess of the Crystal Kingdom. Setsuna’s heart aches with grief and emotions she doesn’t understand because of this, even though she knows it’s destiny.
Although she is the Guardian of Time, Setsuna doesn’t know all of what happened or what will be. Some day, the Goddess of the Crystal Kingdom will hear Setsuna’s quiet prayer, and will find a way to set her free.
