JET WHEELS

Jet Wheels were manufactured by the Mego Toy Corp. back in 1968 and lasted only about a year or two. They started life as AMT "PUPS" and the molds were sold to Mego. They were known as Jets, Jet Wheel, Jet Wheels and finally Speedy Wheels. They are detailed cars with the racers having actual drivers! The wheels are neat looking, but pretty slow. With competition like Hot Wheels, they were not around for very long.

On the left is an awesome Buick Rivera. On the right is a `67 Corvette Stingray.

Ferrari Racer

On the left is a Ford Torino in white with red interior. On the right is a Cougar in Spectraflame orange. These are later models that came with much faster wheels, but they were sort of weird with stickers that looked like mags. I have been told that these sold under the name Speedy Wheels. I don't know how many models they made with these wheels, but I have seen a Pontiac Convertible and an AMX.

I Finally got the Corvair!!

Check out the pictures below of my latest Jet Wheel finds.

Above is the Corvair front and rear view. This car is awesome. It is a Spectaflame blue that really shines.

Above is the Jet Wheel Pontiac Boneville Convertible. This car has the best looking Spectraflame purple paint that I have seen.
