~Restoration Pictures~

Here are some pictures from the restoration of our challenger. I have also included some small captions about each picture.
Make sure that you don't miss the descriptions on the right side of the pics! Enjoy!
Note: These pictures are large and may take a long time to load, If you'd like to see the pictures without descriptions, but take much less time to load (They are thumbnailed) Click Here

Top pic: This is the rear axle after it was done and waiting to be put back into the car. Notice the numbers that were re-painted on like the factory, as well as the inspection marks on the back (not visible here).
Middle pic: This is the engine compartment awaiting the 383ci big block.
Bottom pic: This is the side of the engine compartment; the black tubing is part of the California Emmissions System.

Top pic: These are the original inspection marks that were painted on by the factory on the rear axle. These marks signified that the axle was ready for regular operation.
Middle pic: This is the whole rear axle, in it's finished form, showing the re-painted inspection marks.

Top pic: This is the engine as it was just removed from the engine. All accessories, hoses, and lines are still attached.
Middle pic: This is a look of the side of the engine in it's first stage of cleaning and disassembly.
Bottom pic: Another look at this same stage, but from the front.

Top pic: This is the engine on the hoist, with most accessories and hoses removed, carb and exhaust manifolds included. Ready for cleaning, stripping and re-painting.
Middle pic: This is also the engine on it's hoist, in the same stage, yet the exhaust manifold is yet to be removed.
Bottom pic: This is the engine ready for re-installing into the car. Re-built, re-painted, with all it's accessories (some also re-built - all cleaned) installed.

Top pic: This is the front end of the car without it's trim on the hood.
Middle pic: This is the driver's side without the fender moldings re-applied.
Bottom pic: This is the passenger's side without any of the bodyside moldings re-applied.

Top pic: This is just a picture of the drivers side when the restoration was completed.
Middle pic: This is the engine at it's completed stage.
Bottom pic: This is the trunk at it's completed stage also. Notice the floor mat there that is the original one that came with the car from the factory.
