I sit and watch to my heart's content
The man I love is on the set

Bold and brave, kind and cool
The man in charge is meant to rule

No one doubts his abilities
Except for those who have come to fight

Hard work and loyalty is all he asks
Of the crew he leads through the galaxy

A man alone, no family near
The man he trusts is his "Number One"

To those he meets, Cardassian or Borg
He sees his duty as diplomacy

The man who is trusted and loved by all
Is our own dear Captain, Jean-Luc Picard!
