Childbirth Awareness and Informed Birth Choices


The purpose of this web site is to target women seeking information regarding childbirth choices.  By distributing this information, it is my goal to empower and educate woman in making an informed choice for giving birth to their babies. The Healthy People 2000 health promotion objective is to decrease the national cesarean rate to 15% by the year 2000.  As of the year 1990 the national cesarean section rate was 24% nearing 25%, which means that almost one in four babies born are born by a major abdominal surgery.  These are the following objectives that will be found within the web site:

About the author:
