History on DBZ Personally I feel that DBZ is the best anime series of all time. It was started in 1984 by Akria Toriyama. Toriyama had already had one succesful show called Dr. Shlump. Toriyama started DragonBall which is focused on a young boy, Son Gokou, which later grew into DragonBallZ. DragonBallZ is focused generally on fighting but has a very involed plot that moves very quickly. As DragonBallZ grew it changed once more. Now it was called DragonBallGT. It was taken on by a completely diferent studio and went back to the original DragonBall plot with a slight twist. Many people did not like it and the audience grew smaller. Later the studio went back to the DragonBallZ plot with all the fighting. All together the DragonBall series lasted for 508 episodes.

Review on DBZ series In the U.S. we only have a portion of the DBZ series(about 100 episodes). In those episodes alot happens. DBZ is very fast passed with the plot thickening in every episode. DBZ is very focused on fighting to find the dragonballs. Here is a quick rundown on the story. Gokou's bro, Rattis(sorry I don't know the correct spelling for his name) comes to the planate Earth to destroy Gokou. He is encounterd by Gokou and Piccolo, the Guardian of Earth. Well Rattis is defeated but in the process Gokou dies. Then Gokou encounters Kami Piccolo's other half and is sent to King Kai's place instead of the next dimension so that he can be ready to face an even greater threat. Then once he gets to King Kai's place he begins training to be ready for when his freinds wish him back. While training he discovers that two even more powerful forces are coming to earth. When the 2 Saiyans, Vegita and Napa get there they reek havoc on earth while looking for the Dragonballs. Well earth's special forces intercept them and have a big battle and are losing. All but 2, Crillin and Gohan are killed. Finally Gokou gets there and him and Napa have it out and Gokou comes out on top. Then it is Vegitas turn. Well they have the battle of all battles but.....Vegita loses but escapes before he is killed. Continued later.

Movie Reviews The Movie -- Dead Zone Gohan is kidnapped! The evil Garlic Jr. is gathering the seven Dragon Balls to wish for immortality. Then Garlic Jr. plans to take over the world and make the entire human race suffer for the death of his father. Goku rushes to save Gohan, but arrives at the fortress just as Garlic Jr. summons the Eternal Dragon. Krillin and Piccolo try to help Goku, but their combined strength is no match for Garlic Jr., who creates a "Dead Zone" (black hole) to suck our heroes into oblivion. Suddenly Gohan starts to show his hidden power, but will it be enough?!The Movie -- The Tree of Might A seed of the Tree of Might has been planted on Earth by a group of space pirates. Once rooted, the Tree of Might will devour all life energy, leaving the planet a deserted land where no living thing can survive. Goku and his friends try to destroy the tree, but find their power is not enough. Suddenly, they are attacked by the evil space pirates, and Gohan is captured by Turles, the evil leader of the group and a Saiyan! Turles powers up by eating a fruit of the tree, and challenges Goku. Can Goku save Gohan and the planet Earth from Turles!?
